It is hardly the sort of claim that would raise chuckles among most women.

But Game Of Thrones hunk Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has revealed his wife was full of mirth after receiving letters claiming he was having an affair with his movie co-star Cameron Diaz.

Former Miss Greenland Nukaaka, who he has been married to for sixteen years, was howling with laughter after an obsessed fan mistook pictures from a kissing scene he shared with the actress while filming The Other Woman in New York last year for real photographs.

Nikolaj added: 'The pressure of having all that craziness around you all the time -- I wouldn’t want to live that kind of life.'

Indeed, despite the fact he is now having the greatest success of his career, it seems he is more than happy to be a family man.

He said: 'There's an expression in Denmark - "Don’t fly any higher than your ears will carry you."
