They could be sisters! Grandmother-to-be Susan Sarandon, 67, looks youthful as she joins daughter Eva, 29 for dinner date

She is set to become a grandmother for the first time later this year when her daughter Eva Amurri gives birth.

But on a dinner date at Gracias Madre Vegan restaurant in Los Angeles on Saturday, Susan Sarandon, 67, could almost have passed for 29-year-old Eva's older sister rather than a first time granny.

Susan looked younger than her years as she opted to leave her hair in unstyled messy curls, wore minimal make-up and donned thick black glasses for the mother daughter outing on Eva's 29th birthday.

A casual outfit completed her look but it didn't stop her from looking flawless.

Pregnant actress Eva - who is expecting a daughter with husband Kyle Martino - was much more dressed up, obviously knowing she needs to make an effort to compete with her beautiful mother.

The starlet wore bronzer and mascara and chose a large, colourful necklace, white top and chic black and white jacket as she got behind the wheel of her car.

Although Susan cannot wait to become a grandmother, the actress recently revealed she has no plans to be called 'Grandma'.

She told People: 'I borrowed this name from a very dear friend of mine who’s from the South, and his grandma was "Honey".

'That’s what I’m experimenting with, and Eva likes it, so we’ll see.

'I think it’s good because this is [Kyle's parents'] seventh grandchild, so they’ve established what his parents are called.'

And Susan was busy shopping for the baby, even buying Eva, who turned 29 on Saturday, a crib for her birthday present.

'[Both of their birthdays are] this month,' she told People. 'So for her birthday and his birthday, they’re getting [a] little crib and changing table.'

Well yes, they both look great, no sign of a face lift or botox on Susan either.

She's 68 and JUST becoming a grandmother? Most women her age have been grandmothers for 20+ years.

She looks great. Shame about the outfit in the last pic though.

Susan looks beautiful, as does her daughter. But DM, please stop with the "They could be sisters!" headlines. They are insulting to the daughter and patronizing to the mother, not to mention just plan silly. Susan, at 67 you are way past the age when you should be wearing sheer blouses.
