Actress and former model Uma Thurman’s toned torso shows no signs of any middle-age spread.

How does the mother-of-three do it? Thurman, 43, says she ‘fits in workouts when she can’ with plenty of walking, Pilates and yoga.

She was once spotted limbering up with yoga postures on a transatlantic flight.

What to try: The push-up with rotation is a tough exercise, but well worth it for the stomach-firming benefits.

Assume the classic press-up position with hands supporting the body beneath the shoulders and legs supported by the balls of your feet.

Your body should form a straight line from head to feet.

 

Bend your elbows to lower your torso to the floor, but as you straighten your arms in the upward move, rotate your body so your right arm lifts up and extends overhead.

Your arms and torso should form a T-shape.

Return to the starting position, lower yourself by bending your elbows, then push up and rotate till your left hand points up.

Repeat six to eight times on each side.
