She reveals that she has grown up with Michael’s music and his was the first album she ever bought at the age of eight.

The model has high praise for Symphonica, which features reworked ninties classics and covers of classics such asTerence Trent D'Arby's Let Her Down Easy and Elton John's Idol.

She writes: ‘I'm on my own in the living room; I press play and as soon as the orchestration of the opening track fills the room, the hairs on my neck stand on end and I already know that I'll love this version of Through - even before he begins to sing.'

She goes on to describe You've Changed as ‘fragile and honest’, saying:  ‘It almost makes me cry. For me, it's the vulnerability, openness and richness of his voice that does it.

She goes on to describe his cover of Roberta Flack's The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face as 'so special'.

She wrote: 'When Roberta Flack sang this song there was that same feeling, but with George, you know it's different and real. He has the ability to take you along on that special journey with him.'

Kate also recounts crying on the phone after trying for hours to get tickets for Wham!’s last gig when she was 12-years-old.

She said that she made up for the disappointment by dancing to Everything She Wants with George at his home after the London Olympics.

The model concludes her review describing the album as having the ‘rare gift of a musical great’ that ‘everyone should experience.’

Kate and Michael have been friends for many years and live in the same London area of Hampstead and Highgate.

WHAT THE CRITICS SAY:

Aidin Vaziri, San Francisco Chronicle: ‘Let's not get too excited about Symphonica, the first new George Michael album in seven years, because the live recording is made up of well-worn material.

Caroline Sullivan, The Guardian: ‘For a live record, this collection of 10 covers and seven originals has an oddly manicured feel, with a lack of the mistakes and ad-libs that pump oxygen into live recordings.’

Adrian Thrills, MailOnline: 'As befits a man of 50, this record is more refined. With elegant strings and horns adding colour without being intrusive, it places the onus firmly on a smooth, expressive voice that is still in magnificent fettle.'

The model appeared in the making of the video for his 2012 single White Light, with George tweeting: ‘In the video, a certain supermodel (our Kate) saves my life.

We shot two endings, one with the heimlich manoeuvre… and one where she gives me full on CPR. Mouth to mouth. Not really ;}. But honestly, she is my saviour, on film at least!’

Symphonica is released on March 17 through Virgin EMI/Universal Music Group as George's sixth solo studio album.

We all liked George's material when Kate was eight. That would be Wham Rap and Bad Boys ... when he wrote decent songs.

Well now that her backside is heading Southwards, I suppose it's time to find a career that uses brains instead of the body.

Kate Moss proves again that she is not just a fair-weather friend; she is loyal. That's rare nowadays.

We really need new stuff from George Michael. My one criticism is also that (it feels) that he is constantly re-releasing known songs reworked in some way. I don't want to sound nasty, but as much as I love George Michael, he comes across as someone who does not like working very hard.

Surely he should have covered "I Like Driving In My Car" by Madness?
