Descent3 Winner

John Berg takes home the IGNPC Ultimate Fan Prize, but Fatal takes home the 50 grand.

Well, we're back from our "team-building" exercise in Vegas. In between the trust falls and tower building, we found a little time to attend the Descent3 Tournament at the lovely ... where the hell were we? Anyway, the tourney was a blast. We arrived in time to down a few drinks and mingle before things began. Once things began, we grabbed a couple of drinks and settled in to watch the tournament. Pausing only to get up and grab a couple of drinks, we sat in awe of the action. Soon the list of competitors was narrowed to four remarkable players. The outcome was very uncertain right up until the final few seconds of the game. That's when a pilot known as Fatal scored the three kills that put him over the top. Fifty-Thousand dollars...*sigh*.

We'd also like to congratulate the winner of our IGNPC Descent contest, the affable and sociable John Berg. John's submission was picked by the discriminating editorial staff at IGNPC as the most intelligible and least ridiculous of all the entries we received. For his trouble, John was sent to the tournament. He gave a good showing too and was personally eliminated by Mr. Fatal himself. Best of all, John got to spend some time carousing with the IGNPC staff. We all drank a lot and, thanks to John, learned quite a bit about what the hell a VP of Information Management actually does all day at work. Now we're going to go find this Fatal guy and give him a good thrashing for Mr. Burg. Maybe we can get our hands on some of that green, too.
