Ioan Gruffudd looked tanned and toned as he hung around the set of his new TV movie, Forever, in between takes on Monday.

The 40-year-old Welsh actor is currently working on the new sci-fi drama in Brooklyn, New York City, in which he plays lead character Henry.

Ioan looked tanned and toned as he walked around wearing nothing but a pair of sheepskin-lined boots, grey tracksuit bottoms, with a black towel wrapped around his waist.

The hot weather must have made them difficult to walk on, so a crew member walked behind Ioan and cooled them down with a jet of water.

Despite perhaps feeling a little uncomfortable, Ioan seemed in high-spirits and smiled as the water tickled his feet.

The film tells the tale of a 200-year-old man who works in the New York City Morgue trying to find a key to unlock the curse of his immortality.

Ioan is also set to star in horror thriller, Home Invasion, currently in post-production, in which a family become imprisoned in their own home by intruders who play a life-and-death game.

Bella Thorne and Chandler Riggs will also appear in the film.

The Fantastic Four actor is married to Alice Evans who he met in 2000 while co-starring alongside each other in 102 Dalmations.

After seven years together, they finally wed in Mexico in 2007 after Alice gave Ioan an ultimatum.

He said during their engagement: 'Alice has been very patient with my procrastinating with my male ways! She did give me somewhat of an ultimatum – a gentle nudge – which was the best thing she could do, really.'
