They're back! Kate Gosselin and her eight children to return to TLC for a one-off catch-up episode
|
It seems the world just can't get enough of Kate Gosselin.
Four years after the last episode of Kate Plus Eight aired, the reality loving mother and her eight children will return to TV for a one-off special.
TLC will air a show allowing viewers to catch up with now-single mom Kate and her life with her sextuplets and twins, according to Deadline.
The special will air in June, the network announced Tuesday.

Big family: Kate Gosselin recently posted this shot of herself with her eight children. The family is set to appear on a TLC special in June, catching viewers up with the brood
June will mark the five-year anniversary of the episode on which Jon, 36, and Kate, 38, announced that their 10-year marriage was over.
Nearly 11 million viewers turned in to watch the fireworks back then.
Jon & Kate Plus 8 debuted in 2007. Jon left the show in 2009 and the renamed Kate Plus Eight ran until late 2011.
The family has never really left the public eye.
Not out of sight: Exes Kate and Jon have both continued to appear on reality televsion since their show ended
Kate
has made the reality-TV rounds since her docuseries ended, most
recently signing on to compete in the next season of NBC's Celebrity
Apprentice.
She also competed on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars.
Jon remains bitter about the split. He appeared on season 4 of VH1′s Couples Therapy with his girlfriend Liz Jannetta, and wrote a tell-all book, which has yet to see publication.
'Kate wants to still be on television,' he told Philadelphia magazine in December. 'She's now digging into the past, because that's what sells.'
What's cooking?: Kate was busy promoting her cookbook, Love Is in the Mix, last fall
The Gosselin twins, Cara and Mady are now 13, and the sextuplets - Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel — are nearly 10.
All the children will join their mother in TLC’s 'update about their life as a family today.'
There is no word on whether Jon will make an appearance, although it seems unlikely.
Kate's heartbroken sister Kendra Wilber recently spoke out, saying she hasn’t seen or spoken to Kate and her eight children for around six years.
Eight is enough: Kate is shown here with all of her kids in 2010, before her series was cancelled by TLC
On top of that one of the reality star’s former closest confidantes claims Kate has left a ‘trail of hurt people in her wake’, casting aside her entire inner circle of loyal and faithful friends.
The revelations come after Kate made an excruciating TV appearance with her twin daughters – who refused to utter more than a few words during a live interview.
Since the on-screen debacle with Mady and Cara, Jon has called her parenting skills into question and threatening to sue Kate for primary custody of the sextuplets.
Jon reportedly pays no child support as part of a deal which says he cannot ban Kate from featuring them in future TV programmes.
Sounds of silence: Kate and the twins made a much talked-about appearance on the Today Show
It was recently claimed that the eldest of Kate Gosselin’s children, twins Mady and Cara, no longer see their father Jon.
Jon claims that the sextuplets want to live with him instead of their mother.
They live in fear of Kate,’ Jon said to InTouch magazine. ‘Every time I see them, they tell me they want to live with me.’
The maître d’ alleges that Kate violated the terms of their custody agreement when she took the twins on the Today show as she didn’t give him the option to look after the younger children while she was out of state.
Once upon a time: Before their marriage imploded on national TV, Kate and Jon appeared to be happy
Now, Jon says, ‘First, I’m going to file for an emergency petition for contempt ... The next step is to fight for custody. It’s the only way I can protect the younger six.’
Jon revealed that he hopes to file the petition as soon as he has saved money to pay for legal and paperwork fees.
Jon went on to make shocking claims about his ex’s parenting, and said: ‘When they break her rules, they tell me she still spanks them – and she does it in front of the others to scare them into behaving.’
Jon claims he takes a very different approach, and said: ‘When I punish them, I usually take something away, like an iPod. I don’t spank them because it doesn’t work! I also hold them and talk to them.’
