Lily Collins has admitted that she is still getting used to her role as a celebrity.

The actress, who stars on the April cover of Lucky magazine, tells the publication of her attendance to blue chip events like the MET Ball: ‘I still think, “Why am I on the list?” I still feel like a little girl dressing up and getting to go to a pretty party.’

Miss Collins, 25, even reintroduces herself to most of the A-listers she reencounters at parties, as was the case with a recent run-in with Christian Louboutin.

‘I walked up to him and said, “I don’t know if you remember me, but I interviewed you for my school paper,”’ she explains.

The designer not only recalled their meeting, but also thanked her for the opportunity to be featured in the student publication. Miss Collins replied: ‘Oh my God, thank you!’

This is all coming from a girl who says that the definition of celebrity is lost on her.

Miss Collins, the daughter of singer Phil Collins, grew up in the presence of fabulous personalities including Elton John and photographer Mario Testino.

‘I never understood the word “celebrity.” It was just part of my everyday,’ she says of her upbringing.

Now having booked starring roles in films including The Blind Side and Mirror Mirror, endorsement deals seem to be flying Miss Collins’s way.

Chanel recently flew her to its Métiers d'Art show in Dallas to represent the house in its front row.

She has also signed a deal with Lancome as one of the cosmetic brand’s ambassadors.

The young actress says that she appreciates the brand because of its natural, enhancing aesthetic.

‘I’ve always been a big fan of “less is more”—the idea that you can accept a little help to accentuate what you already have and bring out that extra sparkle,’ she says.

Her best performance is still the SUPPORTING role she played in The Blind Side. Yes, Mirror Mirror made money but other than that her films have done terrible. She is very pretty but she is about to join the ranks of a number of other extremely wealthy wannabe hipster spokesmodels masquerading as "actresses" because they don't want to try anymore.

most young people who's parents own a business get their first job because of their parents contacts and success. this isn't uncommon so why feel the need to state that? mostly, the only way into a creative career is by association.
