Julianne Moore can look Hollywood Golden Age glamorous when she wants to.

Take, for example, her stunning Bulgari adverts where she lounges naked while modeling sapphires and emeralds.

So it was a shock to see the 53-year-old pulling scary faces for a scene opposite Alec Baldwin, 55, at Lido Beach, New York on Wednesday.

Wearing a brightly-coloured stripey sweater and grey sweatpants, the flame-haired beauty looked decidedly under dressed to be out on such a grey day.

Julianne, who plays a Neuroscientist disgnosed with Alzheimer's disease, sat in a wicker chair as her on-screen husband stood opposite her in what appeared to be an emotional scene.

In another shot, Alec - in a blue shirt - could be seen flicking through a large photograph album, while Julianne looked on, stretching her leg on the table.

Action! The on-screen couple shot the scene on the balcony of a wooden beach house

This isn't the first time the pair have been spotted shooting together.

Filming for the movie, which is due out next year, has been taking place in and around New York for several weeks.

Kristen Stewart, aged 23, and Kate Bosworth, aged 31, who play the daughters of Julianne's and Alec's characters, have also been spotted on set.

Maria Shriver, who is a co-producer on the project, is another famous face who regularly visits the set to keep an eye on how things are progressing.

"Pulled a face?" More like trying to get her face to simply Move from all of the botox. Love Julianne, but anyone over the age of 30 who pulled that face would have wrinkles throughout their forehead.
