And on Friday, Melanie Griffith and daughter Dakota Johnson showed that there was one more trait passed along: her sense of style.

The brunette beauty stepped out alongside her equally chic mother in a sheer light pink button-up that she paired with a bright red cardigan.

The 24-year-old teamed the hip ensemble with slimming dark blue denim jeans, and a pair of black heeled sneakers.

Johnson, who will star in the upcoming film version of Fifty Shades Of Grey, hid her gaze behind a pair of large Wayfarer-style sunglasses, and kept her complexion in check with a slick of crimson lipstick and pink blush.

She carried a black designer purse with a chunky gold chain embellishment in her left hand.
