Salad days are over! Molly Sims looks ghostly white as she jets back to LA make-up free following healthy food launch... but transforms for Hollywood event

By Jason Chester

She’s the former Sports Illustrated model who, at 40, still boasts an undeniably stunning figure – but it was a Molly Sims far removed from the one so familiar to magazine covers who made her way across LAX on Thursday.

The statuesque star had just touched down in Los Angeles after traversing the country, east to west, following a promotional appearance in New York City.

But while she looked fresh and focussed at a photo-call for her new healthy salad promotion, Molly was washed out and tired as she scurried across the sprawling LA terminal less than 24-hours later.

The model had opted to make her flight without a trace of make-up, and the bold choice revealed ghostly white features and a peppering of spots around her chin.

Molly’s seemingly low-key look was accentuated by her choice of ensemble – a neutral affair comprised of leather jacket and matching skinny trousers that, by virtue of their design, showed off her nicely toned legs.

The overall effect was enhanced with a pair of obligatory shades – but they were whipped off later that evening when a significantly more glamorous Molly stepped out for a showbiz party in Hollywood.

Indeed, she was back to her best as she sashayed into Petit Ermitage Hotel for the Carmella Dinner, an event hosted by Margot Robbie and Cristina Ehrlich.

Sporting choice shades of blusher and lipstick, the pasty skin tone was well concealed Molly posed for a series of photos before enjoying a cheerful chat with pal Jessica Pare – best known for her role as Megan Draper in Mad Men.

The model, whose own acting credits extend to defunct dramas Las Vegas and Crossing Jordan, opted for a smart black evening dress with a beige chest panel that matched her cropped jacket.

Her look was completed with a pair of conventional black stilettos, while a carefully selected assortment of jewellery – - amongst it two long statement necklaces – and a glittering clutch.

The previous day health conscious Molly was in New York City, where she attended the launch of fast food chain Wendy’s salad and fashion board collection.

The popular restaurant has created a campaign for their new premium salad range - teaming up with fashion board  Polyvore who are set to host the competition.

They want consumers to create online style boards inspired by the flavours and colours of their salads for a chance to win items from their boards.
