It may not have been entirely intentional.

But it seems Gwyneth Paltrow and Lupita Nyongo'o are getting in on the no make-up selfie craze.

The actresses both posted bare faced pictures to their Instagrams on Saturday, sharing their clear skin with the world.

In Britain a campaign has seen women Facebooking their make-up free selves while making a donation to a breast cancer charity.

Having gained huge momentum, the winning blend of egotism and the feel-good factor has raised more than £2million and counting, despite the negative reactions of critics.

While Gwyneth did not mention the campaign, her Instagram would have been a perfect contender.

With her wry smile, unstyled hair and deliberately posed snap as she sipped her water, she would have fitted in well with the ordinary women baring all on the typical Facebook feed.

Of course, this being Gwyneth, she ahd a point of her own to make.

'Full of healing power. #iLoveWater #WorldWaterday @drop4drop,' wrote the 41-year-oild mother-of-two, promoting World Water Day.

Lupita also shared her bare face with the world.
