Swedish hunk Alexander Skarsgård is chased by fans despite trying to go incognito to take time out with a good book

True Blood’s Alexander Skarsgård is a supposedly shy man who likes to keep it simple - and what better way to take time out than to read a good book in a wholesome food restaurant.

And given the towering hunk will soon prepare to play Tarzan in the forthcoming flick, he needs to keep that famous 6ft 4ins frame in check.

The Swedish-born ex army man was seen leaving Tender Greens eaterie in Beverley Hills - where 'slow food is done fast' - clutching that looked like a thick novel on Thursday.

Insiders said he look engrossed in the book as he tucked into a plate of wholesome food at the light-strewn eaterie, which prides itself on serving farmers' market sensible dishes.

Looking every inch the Hollywood star despite attempts to appear incognito, Alexander stood out in a tight-fitting grey T-shirt, black skinny jeans and all-black Nike Air trainers and baseball cap.

As eagle-eyed fans chased after him as he left the eaterie, he obliged and signed autographs before swiftly sauntering on.

Two-time Oscar winner Christoph Waltz has also been recuited for the film, along with Samuel L. Jackson.

In a press release from Warner Bros. spokesman Greg Silverman said it's a 'timeless tale' that will resonate with modern audiences.

'We have assembled a phenomenal international cast to tell this extraordinary story,' he said.

The blonde star found unexpected fame at the age of thirteen in Ake And His World. Uncomfortable with being recognized, he quit acting for the next seven years.

At age 19, he applied to do his national service.

He served in the Swedish military for 18 months, in a unit that dealt with anti-sabotage and anti-terrorism in the Stockholm archipelago.

After completing his service in 1996 he left Sweden and attended Leeds Metropolitan University in England for six months. He enrolled to study English but admits he did not study much and 'had a blast'.

He went on to find fame in American TV hit True Blood and movies: Battleship, Straw Dogs and Melancholia, among others.

At a glance, I initially thought it was our Harry, but at closer look, he is nothing like Harry - taller, slimmer, much better muscle tone, the gait ... & walks with a purpose! All this, even before getting to compare their facial features ...
