Her new movie Divergent opens in theaters today, potentially making her a huge star.

But Shailene Woodley isn't letting that go to her head.

Decked out in her favourite leather jacket, the 22-year-old actress didn't require any assistance as she had her hands full carrying a slew of drinks into her New York hotel on Friday.

Shailene was spotted wearing the hip leather jacket she donned just yesterday, but this time teamed her skinny jeans with a pair of knee high black leather boots.

She had her brunette locks styled in her boyish chop and stayed ultra cool behind a pair of sunglasses.

The Descendants star carried a bohemian handbag slung around her shoulder, while juggling a coffee in her right hand and tray with two more drinks in her left.

The natural beauty appeared calm despite that fact her new film Divergent opens today and could skyrocket her career.

She recently told People the role in the young adult action film made her a braver person.

'The movie really taught me that there is just no room for fear,' Shailene said.

Staying healthy: Shailene included a green beverage in her trio of drinks

'If something is a little bit scary, I am going to do it, because I want the challenge. I want to see what my body and mind and heart can do.'

But the California native also admitted that there are three things that still scare her: submarines, outer space and, believe it or not, her co-star Kate Winslet.

'She is such a powerhouse ... She is maybe the only actor I've ever acted against that I was intimidated by – not because of who she was, but just because she is so good as an actress.'

She's not edgy honey that's PR. She says all her clothing is recycled? Those boots and that jacket I doubt are recycled okay. And she said she is so old school she doesn't own a cell phone but yesterday was caught using her cellphone while getting coffee. I loved her until I realized I was loving a PR game.
