Soul sister: Nun Cristina Scuccia stunned judges with her performance on the Italian Version Of The Voice
Dressed in full religious regalia Sister Cristina Scuccia, who hails from mafia hotspot Sicily, managed to get all four chairs to turn around during her blind audition.
She was joined by three other nuns on the run from the convent, and they were so delighted by her singing they jumped up and down with glee.
But the 25-year-old certainly did not need any help from above, as she hit the high notes with ease during her angelic performance.
Explaining her decision to come on the show, the Ursuline Sisters of the Holy Family member told the panel: 'I have a gift and I'm giving it to you.'
This will be pope-ular: There seemed little doubt the crowd would get behind the underdog contestant
Simply divine: It turned out she did not need any help from above as she delivered a stunning performance
Nuns on the run: But their day out from the convent seemed like a good idea after all as she was a hit
However she may have been warned by her Mother Superior afterwards, as she seemed to have fallen into the trap of being prideful when she said: 'I hope that Pope Francis will call me now.'
Sister Cristina may need freedom to Rome for some time, as the panel, which includes singers Raffaella Carra, Noemi, and Piero Pelu, were falling over themselves to sign her up for their teams.
Italian rapper J-Ax told her: 'If I had found you at Mass I would always be in church. You and me are like the devil and holy water.'
And his esoteric pitch seemed to pay off, for she ultimately decided to be in his team.
Voice of an angel: Rapper J-Ax was immediately enamoured as he listened to the blind audition
Crossing their fingers: The other judges did not take long to hit their buzzers as they wanted her on their teams
Mass appeal: With her ability to effortlessly hit high notes and her squeaky clean personality she is sure to be a hit with the public
However it seems she is still determined to stay on a holy path, as she insisted: 'I came here because I have a gift and I want to share that gift. I am here to evangelize.'
Sr. Cristina is now trending on Twitter, and the YouTube video of her performance now has two million views
She has also been praised by Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, president of the Pontifical Council for Culture.
He said: 'Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others (1 Peter 4:10).'
Converted: By the end of her turn the all the chairs had turned and the judges were applauding wildly
Being Frank: She admitted she hoped her performance would lead to her meeting Pope Francis
Top of the Popes: The popular pontiff will be quick to greet her if she continues to be a massive hit on the show

You go, girl! The best thing I've seen in a very long time. I loved it! Good luck to her. And I loved the way the other sisters were bopping along with her. It was a joy.
