Another Fulham boss on his bike! Magath cruises round London after first win

By John Drayton

After his tenure at Fulham finally lurched into gear with a win over Newcastle on Saturday, new manager Felix Magath got on his bike.

The German has only been in London for one month, but he's figured out how to use mayor Boris Johnson's bike-rental system quickly enough, and was spotted atop one of the blue bicycles on Monday.

The former Bayern Munich and Schalke coach was snapped by Kieran Roles, who uploaded the blurry picture of 60-year-old Magath on the bike straight on to social media website Twitter.

The picture was retweeted hundreds of times in the first two hours of its posting and was picked up by a number of national media outlets.

Roles posted this message along with the snap of the German manager: 'Felix Magath on a Boris bike 1000% him s*** blurry picture though haha couldn't believe my eyes pic.twitter.com/i2aGy2RsMs'

Magath, who took charge after the bungled sacking of Rene Meulensteen last month, has also been likened to cartoon hero Danger Mouse's suited, bespectacled sidekick Penfold.

Meanwhile, Magath's Fulham were on Saturday handed a lifeline in the Barclays Premier League relegation battle after Ashkan Dejagah netted the only goal of the game against Newcastle at Craven Cottage.

London is a great dirt. But like all British cities lots and lots and lots of litter. No one in Britain cares but make out they do :/

Good for you Felix. London is a great city and a bike is a fabulous way to see it. However, please do wear a helmet and gloves for safety. Enjoy
