She may be 76-years-old but Jane Fonda looks years younger, with her trim figure, flawless complexion and perfectly highlighted blonde hair.

And the legendary actress was maintaining her perfectly groomed appearance on Friday, treating herself to a mani-pedi in Beverly Hills.

The 76-year-old plumped for a crimson colour nail varnish on her fingers, sitting back while her toes were being taken care of.

Day of pampering: Jane Fonda got a pedicure at a Beverly Hills salon on Thursday afternoon

The star sported a casual navy blue top and trousers while keeping her sunglasses on all through the session.

She looked a lot more casual than her glamorous appearance at the Post-Oscars Vanity Fair party.

Despite turning 77-years-old later this year, Fonda is showing no signs of slowing down.

It was recently announced that she will reunite with Lily Tomlin for a new Netflix comedy series.

The online TV network will launch Grace And Frankie starring Fonda and Tomlin as long-time foes who come together when their husbands desert them after falling in love.

The single-camera comedy will film a first season of 13 half-hour episodes to premiere on Netflix next year.

The two actresses co-starred a quarter-century ago in the comedy hit, Nine To Five.

Fonda recently appeared on HBO's The Newsroom and was seen in the film Lee Daniels' The Butler.

And Tomlin, 74, has been keeping busy too as she recently appeared in last year's Tina Fey comedy Admission.

Fonda may look youthful but recently revealed she has become all too aware of her age.

The Hollywood legend – who has made her career in an industry which isn't exactly kind to ageing actresses - admits she has been brought to tears on more than one occasion recently as she comes to terms with her own mortality.

In a thoughtful blog post entitled 'Crying', which has since been removed, Jane wrote: '[I've been thinking], how come my tears are so close to the surface? And I’ve come to feel it has to do with age.

'I have become so wonderfully, terribly aware of time, of how little of it I have left; how much of it is behind me, and everything becomes so precious.'

Despite Jane worrying about her mortality, she believes getting older has its advantages, namely allowing her to appreciate the beauty in the world.

She said: 'With age, I am able to appreciate the beauty in small things more than when I was younger perhaps because I pay attention more.'

My friend who was 21 when he was shot off a boat in the steamy jungles of Vietnam never had a chance to be Pampered. There is nothing fabulous about this old woman. Her red nails are appropriate on those claws.

She was one of 300 celebrities who went to Vietnam in order to SAVE her fellow citizens from any more pointless deaths at the hands of the VietCong. If she had done anything more than publicised the false premise of that war, the Nixon administration would have strung her up.
