It's a far cry from Vegas, baby! Britney Spears slips into a short white sundress for a spot of bargain hunting

She spends the weekends at her Las Vegas residency in Planet Hollywood, where she performs her glitzy Pieces Of Me show.

But during the week Britney Spears does the kind of things any mother-of-two would do, and on Friday that included a spot of shopping at a Warehouse Discount Center in Moorpark, California.

The 32-year-old usually dresses down when she's back home. But on this occasion the pop star looked chic in a short white lace sundress that showed off her toned dancer's physique and shapely legs.

She paired the pretty V-neck frock with smart brown high heels and oversized Wayfarer-style sunglasses.

The Toxic hitmaker pulled her tresses back into a girlie half ponytail that kept her hair out of her eyes while allowing it to drape beautifully around her shoulders and down her back.

The former blonde recently changed her hair colour to auburn and the red highlights shone in the sunshine.

Britney had last weekend off from Vegas to celebrate her sister Jamie Lynn's wedding to Jamie Watson in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Friday night.

Along with her boyfriend David Lucado, the singer was accompanied by her sons Sean, 10, and seven-year-old Jayden.

They were joint ring bearers on the big day along with Jamie Lynn's daughter, Maddie, five.

The lead-up to the ceremony was kept quite secretive, however in a Twitter post on Saturday, Britney described the wedding as 'magical'.

'Yesterday was magical :) So happy I could be a part of my little sister’s big day,' she wrote, adding: 'Congrats @jamielynnspears!!'

I don't know why but whenever I see her now I just think she looks like trailer trash. It doesn't matter what she's wearing, how much it costs or how designer it is...she just doesn't look like the Britney I grew up wanting to be. She had it all.

I personally feel that the Britney you grew up with never existed. Her managers and stylists created that Britney. She is still the same girl she always has been. The body, the hair, the makeup...that was all someone else's doing. I think her having to live in that fake world finally got to her and was part of her breakdown. Now she is only the old Britney when she has to be (when performing). I think that is wrong too. That Britney is gone, why doesn't she just be herself when she performs? Probably because no one would be interested.

All of you wailing "Leave Britney aloooone! She looks gooooorgeous" do realise that she's built her entire career on an image? One that she does not maintain? She might be a mother, but her job is being an entertainer. If she began her career like Adele, with a great voice and a take me or leave me attitude, things might be different. But she can't sing, isn't a songwriter and all she has to work with is the image, the looks and the figure she is remembered for. If she wants to retire from public life and slop about, looking out of shape in grubby clothes, and being a normal 'Mom', everyone will leave her alone. But while she's still thundering around a stage in a leotard being 'sexy' she's opening herself up to criticism. Tell yourselves she looks cute all you like. She doesn't.

So Ignorant, it's actually sad. She had a breakdown that destoryed that image and now she gets scrutinised ever since. She's grown up and got over being superficial, maybe you should too. She just doing her, which people say is a good thing but when miss spears does it, it's bad because she dares to show flaws? Showing more ignorance, she wrote her #1 single 'everytime', and other songs like 'let go'. Don't make assumptions, it makes you look stupid.
