'I've got a belly, boobs and a bum': Ellie Goulding feels confident due to 'womanly' new shape... but says you don't have to 'dress like skank' to do well

By Daily Mail Reporter

After stepping out in a number of jaw-droppingly racy outfits both on and off stage recently, it comes as no surprise that Ellie Goulding is feeling more body confident than ever.

In an interview with the Daily Star on Monday, the singer revealed that after becoming a vegetarian six months ago, and doing regular exercise, she has seen her body and even her face change for the better.

'I'm way more womanly now', the 27-year-old said. 'I'm a bit more confident with my body. I've got a belly, boobs and a bum.'

The Burn hitmaker, who was once known for her softly-spoken, bohemian style, has emerged with a sexy new image.

Therefore after setting pulses racing herself, it is unsurprising that she thinks female singers should dress exactly how they wish, whether they want to wear skimpy clothing or not.

She told the newspaper: 'If someone's making good music, I don't care about anything else. Some of the most successful girls don't portray themselves as sex symbols. Lorde doesn't dress like skank.'

While she doesn't have any problem with how the likes of Rihanna and Miley Cyrus dress, it is still hard to imagine that she was once a 'goth', with long black hair and piercings.

After winning Best Female Solo Artist at the BRIT Awards earlier this year, she has seen her love life thrust into the spotlight.

Telling the Daily Star that she is currently single, she has been linked in the past with McBusted's Dougie Poynter, One Direction's Niall Horan and Ed Sheeran.

The future looks exciting for the blonde beauty, who has recently been linked with the vacant seat on The X Factor judging panel.

However she took Twitter to update her fans on Sunday, after it was reported that she would be taking a break from music.

She wrote: 'A lot of you are asking me about the article saying I was going to take time off... I meant after this world tour, to make another record.

'I've been touring non stop since 2009 and kind of need to be home for a bit so come September I won't be touring anymore. But for now I will be seeing a lot of you in the next 6 months and then that will be it for a while. Love you x'.

Goodness Gracious: She told the newspaper: 'If someone's making good music, I don't care about anything else. Some of the most successful girls don't portray themselves as sex symbols. Lorde doesn't dress like skank'

She just has such a weird manly shape. Not a good look.

Why do all female singers feel the need to bare so much on stage?

I actually really like her music, but her face is busted. And PLEASE - don't act like you "have a belly". Lots of girls would kill for a stomach that flat.

That dress in the second photo, the one with the nude side panels, is quite possibly the WORST dress I've ever seen.

I can't believe all the nasty jealous comments on here. She's worked hard to get where she is.

I am intrigued as to why I can't find one positive comment about her on here. Just had the opportunity to watch her perform here in Boston. My expectations perhaps created by frequent articles on DM and 'comments' I was astonished when she stepped out. Great concert, excellent live singing.....she has a great figure, actually pretty athletic. She played drums, solo-ed on guitar, and spoke to the audience and said how grateful she was for her success over the last 4 years ( very sweet and humble imo) SO what is it ppl just don't like???
