Creating a buzz: Vanessa Hudgens does boho-chic as she enjoys caffeine fix in downtown LA

By Daily Mail Reporter

She was once the girl next door, but Hollywood actress Vanessa Hudgens cut a boho figure as she stepped out in California, this week.

The brunette beauty, 25, was spotted at Urth Cafe in downtown LA where she enjoyed a pit-stop with a female friend on Tuesday.

Dressed in black leather and blue denim with a wealth of silver jewellery, the performer was borderline gothic for her jaunt on the sunny West Coast.

Fortunately, her disposition was sunnier than her outfit.

Wearing a pair of designer sunglasses and carrying an over-sized handbag, the acclaimed actress looked confident and relaxed as she enjoyed a caffeine fix.

She smiled broadly alongside her mystery friend at the trendy venue, which has previously welcomed the likes of Luke Evans and Katy Perry, before jumping in her car and driving off to an audition.

Keeping it make-up free, the High School Musical alumni was esh-faced and feminine in her natural look - just like her friend. In fact, the two were pretty much in sartorial sync as they appeared colou-coordinated, combining denim with leather and leopard-print.

But it was clearly a well-earned break for the Thirteen actress, who can be seen in her latest film, Gimme Shelter.

In it she plays Apple Bailey who is brought up in foster care and has an abusive mother - whom eventually becomes a teenage mom.

She underwent quite a transformation appearance wise for the role.

'I loved looking into the mirror and seeing myself with short hair and bad skin and tattoos,' she told the February issue of Nylon. 'The uglier I could make myself, the more giggly I would get on the inside.'

Another hit film of hers, Spring Breakers, is also a deviation from the good girl image she established as Gabriella Montez in Disney’s High School Musical, with Vanessa commenting upon her recent transformations: 'I don't think it's "good girl gone bad.'

Meanwhile, Vanessa has also been filming Kitchen Sink alongside Ed Westwick, Denis Leary, and Joan Cusack - a horror-comedy film out next year involving zombies, vampires, and aliens.

She can also be heard as a voice in the 2015 animated film The Great Migration, alongside Ashley Benson and Ashley Tisdale, about three wild salmon who encounter a dangerous mutant predator during their migration.

I used to like her but now she is just conceited and full of herself. Her fashion is just the same all the time and that gets boring. She is like a poser and a narcissist, maybe it's from people telling her she is all great when shes not and just average plain woman.
