Fancy renting Kate Moss and Johnny Depp's former New York love nest? It's all yours for a cool $19,000 a month

By Annabel Fenwick Elliott

A stunning three-level carriage house formerly rented by Kate Moss is back on the market for a not so modest $19,000 per month.

Ms Moss, now 40, reportedly rented the space back in the late Nineties, when she was engaged to Lone Ranger star Johnny Depp, 50.

The 1800's-era building, listed by Keller Williams, enjoys a private setting, nestled back off a tree-lined street in New York's exclusive Greenwich village, perfect for the paparazzi dodging supermodel.

The spacious two bedroom, two bathroom home, described by the broker as a 'quiet oasis' for only the most 'discerning' renter, boasts 25-foot ceilings, dramatic skylights and a standalone bathtub, amongst other amenities.

It also features a wood-burning fireplace, exposed brick throughout and a large, private two-level outdoor garden space.

Of course, fittingly for the former home of a supermodel, the master bedroom includes large customized walk-in closets.

The lavish 1800-sqft space is hung with modern art, including a large Audrey Hepburn print, and we can quite imagine the exuberant soirees Ms Moss might have hosted in the grand entertaining space at the height of her party days.

One regular guest to her carriage house was surely Mr Depp, who dated Ms Moss for four years from 1994. The pair, who enjoyed a brief engagement in 1998, and a subsequent painful break-up, haven't been photographed together for 16 years.

That is (almost) until last October, when they both appeared in Paul McCartney's Queenie Eye music video. It is unknown whether their paths actually crossed, as their segments were filmed separately.

Ms Moss and Mr Depp have rarely spoken about their former relationship, but the supermodel - who is now married to The Kills rocker Jamie Hince - opened up about the romance during an interview with Vanity Fair magazine in 2012.

She said: 'There's nobody that's ever really been able to take care of me. Johnny did for a bit. I believed what he said. Like if I said, "What do I do?," he'd tell me.'

Ms Moss added that she experienced 'years and years of crying' following her split from the actor.

As for the stunning West Village abode, it seems unlikely that this piece of fashion history will stick around on the property market for very long.
