There must be some way to stop these crimes against humanity. When their government are putting innocent people in harms way, is there anything in the Japanese constitution which allow the people to act in their collective well being. I am not a lawyer, so I posted part of the constitution below.

We, the Japanese people, acting through our duly elected representatives in the National Diet, determined that we shall secure for ourselves and our posterity the fruits of peaceful cooperation with all nations and the blessings of liberty throughout this land, and resolved that never again shall we be visited with the horrors of war through the action of government, do proclaim that sovereign power resides with the people and do firmly establish this Constitution. Government is a sacred trust of the people, the authority for which is derived from the people, the powers of which are exercised by the representatives of the people, and the benefits of which are enjoyed by the people. This is a universal principle of mankind upon which this Constitution is founded. We reject and revoke all constitutions, laws, ordinances and rescripts in conflict herewith.

        TheBow River,

The constitution is beautiful. This is against that constitution.

Mr. NoNukes: "It is like when the mob moves into the neighborhood and takes over the main restaurant, using it to launder money, running it into the ground, selling contaminated food, firing the workers and putting their nephews in charge, until it is completely destroyed, then when that happens they light a match and collect the insurance money."

The mobsters here = the U.S. nuclear industry.

Hi NoNukes, yes it does seem to be a well written work.

I know nothing of the Japanese culture when it comes to exercising their human rights as well as their sovereign power given them in their constitution.

It does however seem to me a better way forward than seeing everything you hold dear be sacrificed on the alter of money, power, and greed.

If there are any lawyers out there who have no nuclear industry affiliation, I ask is this a possibility?

The majority of the Japanese people will not rise up against their masters. They are prisoners of their culture and some know this. Check out Fukushima Dairy as he has written two recent revealing articles about their culture and how they are resigned to die. The mothers want to evacuate but the husbands will not. Resignation sets in. http://fukushima-diary.com/

Japan is a group think and follow the leader culture that is hard for us in the US to understand. While many of us in the US do act like lemmings we also have a large % of Americans who are fiercely independent in thought and action.

We can best help them by doing what we are doing here trying to expose the truth and offer whatever remedies we can find. We may be helping some Japanese to find the will to defy their culture and evacuate. Time will tell. It is agonizing to watch this epic disaster unfold and to feel helpless. This site is a beacon in the dark. We must continue to shine the light.

Hi Ruth, thank you for the explanation. After first reading your post, I was wondering about the stark difference between this view and the wording in the Japanese constitution.

Now I recall some historical facts about how this constitution came to be.

As you say, we have to keep up the effort here in hopes of encouraging even a small # of people to evacuate.

I wonder about international relief for the people affected by radiation. Does this require WHO sanction? That would be a joke right!! We could just as well ask the IAEA to answer for them.

Hi Ruth, did you know that in Tokyo alone 5 million signatures were gathered against nuclear power? Which is a huge step forward. Their culture is different, but I'd be careful to claim that the percentage of independently acting and thinking folks is really smaller there.
        My 2 cents.

      Hi there fellow animal lover

According to Shimatsu humans have been dying all over Japan of eventual cesium damage to the heart. "Heart attacks" are listed as cause of death.

Moret, in Part 1 of her recent Fetzer interview with Busby, says 5 million camels have died in the Middle East from DU et al. Warning: don't read this interview at bed time.
