She's known for turning heads on the red carpet in a nearly endless array of revealing ensembles.

But Nina Dobrev's latest film role sees her up the ante with a rather eye-popping display as she goes topless in the trailer for Let's Be Cops.

The 25-year-old, who plays a waitress in the comedy, attempts to seduce Damon Wayans Jr by whipping off her shirt in the racy clip.

Sitting on a couch, Wayans Jr attempts to explain to the young woman that he is not in fact an officer of the law but an impersonator.

But before he can finish his sentence, the gorgeous brunette is half naked and posing coyly in nothing but a miniskirt.

With her luxurious locks cascading in flowing waves over her shoulders she is quite the seductress as Wayans Jr exclaims, clearly having his mind changed by the eye-popping display: 'I am a cop!'

The film centres on two old friends who find themselves down on their luck with no real prospects.

After hearing about a masquerade ball, that they mistakenly believe is a costume party, the duo obtain cop uniforms.

After finding themselves mistaken for actual officers of the law the longtime pals get an idea.

The pair begin to impersonate police officers at first just for fun and then actually begin to get involved in solving real crimes - even going so far as to procure and 'patrol' in a police cruiser.

One scene sees the less than intimidating duo attempt to scare some school children but fail miserably, as the young boys see through their act.

But actual mayhem ensues when they get caught up in a real life conflict with mobsters and dirty cops.

The feature is being promoted as the 'ultimate buddy cop movie' even though it is about police impersonators.

Let's Be Cops co-stars Skye P. Marshall, Rob Riggle, James D'Arcy and Andy Garcia.

The action comedy is due in theatres on August 13.

Nina and fellow brunette beauty Nikki Reed, 25, were featured in a short YouTube video released on Wednesday that urged Americans to sign up for government healthcare.

The video showed Nina and Nikki having a fun day going to yoga, enjoying lunch, having dinner and grabbing drinks as the prices of their activities were shown.

They both fell down while taking a selfie at the end of the night and the pricetag jumped to a whopping $20,000.

'What could've been $100 for a day out or night out with your girlfriends would end up costing you almost $20,000,' Nina said in a neck brace and holding crutches as Nikki stood next to her with an arm in a sling.

'Get covered,' Nikki said in a squeaky voice.
