Victoria's Secret Angel Lily Aldridge has previously called Taylor Swift 'one of my best friends.'

And the two modelesque ladies got to spend some quality time together in New York City on Friday – engaged in conversation as they took to the streets.

The 24-year-old musician and 28-year-old supermodel stood in contrast to each other, with Taylor brightly clad and Lily dressed in dark colours.

The I Knew You Were Trouble singer sported a green pea coat over a polka dotted blue and white mini-dress, showing off her long lean stems in black tights and maroon ankle boots.

Taylor added splashes of her signature colour, with a chic red purse and bright red lipstick.

Lily, on the other hand, rocked a black blazer over a grey sweater, teamed with black skinny jeans, and black knee high boots.

She finished off the look with a black scarf, a gold purse, silver hoop earrings, and dark sunglasses.

Lily and Taylor took to the stage together last November during the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, during which the beautiful blonde sang I Knew You Were Trouble.

Lily told Us Weekly: 'We had a little moment at the end of her song Trouble, where we walked in front of the stage together.'

She added: '[Taylor] is one of my best friends, so we had so much fun together.'

Afterward, Taylor shared a Polaroid snapshot of herself back stage, flanked by Lily, Erin Heatherton, and Cara Delevingne, with ‘Best friends forever VS 13’ scrawled at the bottom.

Apparently, it was thanks to Lily that Taylor landed her role in the show, as Victoria's Secret's chief creative officer Ed Razek revealed in an interview with Women’s Wear Daily.

'I was having dinner with Lily Aldridge and told her it would be great if Taylor Swift would do the show,' he said.

'Lily said, "We both live in Nashville and we're friends." I was incredulous, like "you are friends with Taylor Swift? That's like something imaginary, like you're friends with Harvey the Rabbit."'

'Lily sent her a note, and Taylor Swift said she would love to do the Victoria's Secret show.'

I love how Taylor has so many female friends. She really does seem like a sweetie. Women will date many guys before they find the right ONE so I don't know why she always gets knocked for dating guys.
