He recently shed some pounds.

So no wonder Mickey Rourke was turning heads as he went walkabout in Beverly Hills on Saturday.

The Nine And A Half Weeks favourite displayed his newly slender physique as he sauntered around the well-heeled area of Los Angeles.

The 61-year-old seemed to revel in showing off his new slimline figure in a green jacket, off-white T-shirt, skinny jeans and leather loafers.

Mickey, who had bulked up considerably previously, looks virtually unrecognisable after sculpting down his physique through countless gym sessions.

One person conspicuous by her absence was his sexy 27-year-old Russian model girlfriend Anastassija Makarenko, whom he took jewellery shopping earlier this month.

He has certainly had a busy March, for he was also topping up his ever-increasing tattoo collection a few weeks ago.

The star was seen heading to his favourite tattoo outlet, the Shamrock Tattoo parlour, in West Hollywood..

And that came just four days after he was spotted displaying his still ripped and muscular frame as he whipped off his shirt for a brand new inking in West Hollywood.

He is set to reprise his character Marv in the forthcoming Sin City sequel called A Dame to Kill For, which is in post-production and due out later this year.

Wonder what happened to all his little dogs? Especially the one that was his best friend... They weren't puppies, so perhaps they have died? That would explain Mickey's sudden transformation.
