'I love my new life!' Teresa Palmer breastfeeds Bodhi mid-hike and cradles him during yoga class as she embraces motherhood

By Kathy Lyford

Australian actress Teresa Palmer loves motherhood so much she just has to share it with her followers.

On Sunday, the new mum, 28, posted a collage of shots of herself cradling her six-week-old son Bodhi, accompanied by a heartfelt expression of her feelings about being a mother.

The Warm Bodies star is shown in an intimate outdoors shot breastfeeding her son, cradling him by a pool and participating in a mommy-and-me yoga class with him.

And she posted a gushing description of her love for her new son.

'I love being a Mum. I love the way I see myself differently now, as a Mother,' she wrote on her post.

'My hands look different for they are soothing when I touch him, the crook of my elbow now is for his head to rest and my body feeds him whenever he needs.'

Teresa has become a breast feeding advocate since Bodhi's birth.

In one shot, she is wearing a black bra top and black cropped yoga pants, while Bodhi is in a striped onsie at her breast.

She explained how much she enjoyed watching his small milestones.

'Bodhi started smiling this week, when I look him in the eye and I say "ooh" he erupts in to a toothless grin and squeal,' she wrote.

'Just this simple word fills him with such joy. I find a lesson in that, in fact I find lessons in every moment with him.

'Beauty in simplicity I've learnt. We over complicate everything, self inflicted pain. I didn't realize until now that there was another way. I love my new life.'

The other images showed Teresa in a red coat and cold knit hat by the pool, cradling her blue-clad baby.

And for the yoga class, she also wore cropped yoga pants and a bra top, as she balanced her son on her legs.

Also on Sunday, the actress posted a shot of herself holding Bodhi and posing in front of a parking lot of recreational vehicles, with the caption: 'Let the adventure begin!!'

So vulgar - urinating, defecating and vomiting are all "natural" bodily functions too, but no one wants to see you post pictures of you doing it, especially in public. Ladies, PLEASE, show a little CLASS and prove that we are more well mannered and sophisticated than mere stray dogs on the streets.

I hope the royal mums' advisors stop telling them not to breastfeed in public.

Teresa Palmer shares breast feeding photos as if this is a radically new concept. No one cares and most assume a mother with a new born is breast feeding.

Why do some women have to make being a new mother sound so nauseating. I am a mother myself but all this mummy and baby bonding yoga cringeworthy stuff, makes me want to scream. The pressure to breast feed is enormous too, so that when mothers can't or just plain refuse to do so, they feel bad about it. I refused to breast feed and my child turned out to be very healthy and happy. I was made to feel like an evil and cruel woman by the midwives.

to anyone who didnt/wont breastfeed..once you get past the first hard weeks, it is a joyous wonderful feeling. I didnt' with my 1st, I said I tried, but not very hard. with the 2nd I hung in there. It is so easy, no bottles, the only thing is you have to be a stay at home mom.....I was never a pumper..I hated the pump. I had 5 who were breastfed, and multiples in there. its for one year of their lives...the hardest part is weaning....it takes fortitude and some tears on both mom and babies parts. But BF is well worth it. I'm not even talking health benefits here..its economical and easier once you get going.

But it is not easy for everyone. My sister wanted to do it too because she read of the health benefits to the baby; however, she did not produce enough milk to breastfeed. So it might be "so easy" for you, but that's not the case with everyone. Your post comes across a bit arrogant and mean-spirited.

She is responding to the poster who 'refused' to breast feed and encouraging women to not quit too soon if the are having problems. Babies might turn out healthy, but there is no comparison in the nutritional value in breast milk Vs store bought formula. New mothers need to understand that you will share your body with your baby even after it is born!
