She may be single, but Emmy Rossum found plenty of company during her recent desert road trip.

The 27-year-old actress took her two dogs with her as she headed out on the open road on Thursday and Friday.

The Shameless star cut a casual figure as she trekked through Nevada’s barren terrain – photographing various sights along the way, which she posted to her Instagram account.

At one point, the beautiful brunette took her two dogs out for a roam – so that her four legged friends could stretch their legs.

In the photo she posed holding their leashes, while clad in a puffy black jacket, grey scarf, and a white top, showing off her long slender stems in a pair of black knee-length leggings.

Emmy shielded her eyes in a pair of large reflective sunglasses and held up a white mug of coffee.

Other images show her gazing out across the bumpy brown landscape, posed before a rickety old wagon, and taking selfies in her rear view mirror.

She also snapped photos of interesting absurdities along the way – including a bevy of paintbrushes sticking out of the sand and some ominous looking bones.

The Phantom Of The Opera star’s road trip was likely a welcome break for her increasingly busy career commitments.

Her hit show Shameless will soon wrap its fourth season – its finale airing on April 6 – while it was recently renewed for a fifth series.

Emmy has two film projects in post-production set to come out this year, including drama You're Not You, about a terminally ill woman and the aimless young companion who becomes her caregiver.

She will star alongside Ali Larter, Josh Duhamel, Hilary Swank, Marcia Gay Harden and Frances Fisher.

Emmy can also be seen alongside Justin Long in the romantic comedy, Comet. The film is about ‘the drama, comedy and utterly surreal state of heartbreak,’ according to writer-director, Sam Esmail.

Does this woman know (or any one else) that in China, people's pet dogs and cats (still with their collars on) are stolen and skinned alive for their fur and put on to jackets like hers in the first photo. In a report last year (reported by the Express) the reporters witnessed it. If you wear fur you support pets being stolen and skinned alive.
