With a new baby at home, Gavin Rossdale is making sure Gwen Stefani gets as much quiet time as possible.

The 48-year-old Bush frontman took Kingston, seven, and their family pup to a dog park on Saturday in Los Angeles.

Although Kingston's brother, five-year-old Zuma, didn't accompany his dad and brother on the trip, it seemed the musician was trying to keep Kingston busy for a few hours perhaps allowing Gwen – who gave birth on February 28th to the couple’s third child, Apollo Bowie – some time to bond with the new baby.

Gavin was a cool daddio wearing a pair of chic retro sunglasses, khakis with grey patches, and a plain white shirt.

Meanhwhile, Kingston stood out in a pair of bright orange shorts, a grey Nike T-shirt that read 'Nothing But Awesome' and yellow trainers.

Gavin has been giving Gwen plenty of time recuperate as he is often times seen taking the boys for some fun outside the house.

He certainly has his hands full as he holds down the household fort while also in the middle of recording another studio album.

Meanwhile, the gorgeous No Doubt singer hasn’t been seen out in public since mid-February.

The only word from her since delivering the baby was a single tweet March 1st saying, ‘welcome Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale.’

Gavin, however, has been keeping fans updated via his Twitter page.

He explained the new baby was named Bowie after his mother's maiden name while Flynn is the name of Gwen's mother.

Gwen and Gavin have been married for 11 years, but Rossdale also has a daughter, the British model Daisy Lowe from a previous relationship.

nothing like a man with a Pomeranian .......and I am still disappointed Gwen had another boy- replay same movie....the purchases of a small kit would have allowed even an uneducated person like her to conceive a female child.

A month ago the DM showed the couple taking their Pomeranian dog (wrapped in a blanket) to the vet. I hope this is the same dog because it shows he made a good recovery. Lovely family generally, apart from their silly names.
