Sensors and servos with PIC's and python
Jason pushed me to through this out so.... Some TBD workshop / tutorial on using PIC's (16f877 and the USB BitWhacker) to do stuff with servos, and sensors, while interfacing to a host computer running some python code. Most likely this will be similar to the arduino, only using PIC instead of AVRs...
We can look at a number of different types of sensors (IR range, acustic range, switches, and interface types. (GPIO, I2C, serial, usb)
So when are you going to host this?
It would be good to see you teaching the folk what you know.
Actually it would be nice to see some host side activty.
If you want to do a pyton/avr/arduio workhop I would be happy to work with you on it.
OSC (open sound control) and applications
OSC is a packet protocal used for some sound application (super-collider/psi collider and pure data). A workshop on the protocal and the applications that use it could be fun. We can make some OSC packet generators taking input from sensors connected to a simple MCU (arduino or pic) talking to a program and hook them up via simple UDP sockets to SC or PD to make some funky sounds.
RepRap build
Could hold a RepRap Darwin or RepStrap build out for people who want to get into doing that. Would involve electronics build outs and cartesian bot builds. Could cater to people buying the kits and those who want to make their own bots.

Demented Chihuahua,
Thanks for great post!Jeremy
Arduino Cult Induction and Bootloader
Does the "Arduino Cult Induction" workshop include a segment on how to burn the Arduino bootloader onto the blank AVR?
I am very interested in this, but I don't have a lot of experience with AVR's outside the Arduino IDE.
