Has that made you broody Kate, or put you off? Duchess of Cambridge meets adorable sets of twins on her visit to Christchurch in NZ

By Scarlett Russell

Kate quashed any pregnancy rumours this weekend when she indulged in a spot on wine tasting and went on a vigorous white water rafting session, not recommended for those with child.

But the Duchess of Cambridge could be feeling a tad broody after meeting a gang of gorgeous twins during her visit to Christchurch, New Zealand today.

Seven days into her three-week Royal tour of New Zealand with husband Prince William and baby son George she was greeted by five sets of twins when visiting Latimer Square in Christchurch.

And she was beaming.

The adorable ten babies, accompanied by their mothers, sat as good as gold in their buggies as Kate cooed over them, beaming and talking excitedly to the mothers.

She no doubt swapped stories of teething troubles and feeding meltdowns as all mums do.

It's often around this time, as a first baby nears the age of one that new mothers can begin to get a tad broody, so we wonder whether this gaggle of toddlers set Kate off yearning - or perhaps had the total opposite effect.

Whether she was cooing broodily or not, the royal mum-of-one certainly knows how to charm a crowd and babies are fast becoming her forte.

Kate often majestically waves her fingers, almost hypnotically, a greeting that MailOnline has spotted her using throughout the tour, especially with babies and children.

The enchanting body language appears to help her connect with people and body language expert Judi James told Mail Online this hand gestures is a significant, personal touch.

‘Royals need to connect with us,’ James explains.

‘Kate’s hand gestures are incredibly potent and personal as it brings a connection to anyone she is speaking to.

‘Everyone feels individually that that she’s ‘got them’ and that they are important. It’s much more intimate than shaking someone’s hand.'

The rumour mill has been buzzing that Kate is pregnant, thanks largely to William himself dropping a hint that baby number two could be on the way.

Last week, on day six of their tour, the Duke greeted a British well-wisher, Cynthia Read, who was commissioned by the New Zealand government to make a merino wool shawl for George.

He thanked Mrs Read for the gift before telling her: ‘You might have to make another one soon!’

The Duchess laid those rumours to rest over the weekend.

Not only was she pictured enjoying a glass of local wine at the Amisfield Vineyard in New Zealand on Sunday, she apparently told wine-makers she was: ‘Really enjoying being able to drink again after having baby George.’

Furthermore, sports-loving Kate even went white water rafting in Queenstown, New Zealand, over the weekend.

As she and her brave group sat in the boat with life-jackets securely fastened, the instructor pointedly asked if anyone was pregnant, to which Kate was silent.

But, if these pictures are to be believed Kate’s maternal side is showing no signs of slowing down just yet.

Why would she be broody? She already has an adorable little baby of her own. Can this woman not be around any children without suggesting she's pregnant or hoping to be. She will be relieved when she hits her forties and all this baby nonsense stops.

Leave the poor woman alone. Her son is only 8 months old I'm sure she wants to enjoy him for a bit more before she has any more children.

I cannot believe people are genuinely expecting her to be pregnant again any time soon. Her baby is only just 9 months old!
