I am Lindsey Davis, the historical novelist. A very warm welcome.

I have had a website since 1998, when it was created by Ginny Lindzey. We are now launching a new version by John Sargent of SiteWriters, with improved technical features. Some pages will be familiar, others may be simplified. We hope you enjoy the site and can find what you want.

Work in Progress

After 20 Falco novels, I am enjoying my new series about Flavia Albia – The Ides of April and my new book, Enemies at Home, are to be followed by a third adventure which I am currently writing.

I am also excited to been one of the ‘QuickRead’ authors for 2014. These are a special series of short books for adults who came to reading late or who don’t read very much. Mine is called A Cruel Fate and is set in the Civil War.

Audiobooks

Since the UK company AudioGO has gone into receivership, copies of single voice readings will be hard to obtain in the UK for the time being, while I decide on new contracts. This should not affect the US AudiogGO titles, downloads from Hodders of the most recent books, nor the five BBC radio dramas of the first Falco novels. I am sorry for any disappointment and will let you know any news as soon as possible.

Film option

There is news of a proposed Falco film series in our Media section but please note that this will be some distance in the future.
