UK Newsletters
In the UK we generally produce a Newsletter to coincide with each new book, telling readers a little about it. The future will be all digital, I’m afraid, so if you want to hear about my work and have not already done so, UK readers can sign up for the digital version by sending an email here.
We are not expecting to issue any more printed Newsletters.

Sunday 29 September – 2.00 the Library of Birmingham
Tuesday 1 October – 2.30 Newport (South Wales) Central Library, as part of The Big Read
Sunday 20 October – afternoon, details to follow, The Hungerford Festival
Monday 21 October – 6.30, Classical Association at the University of Roehampton, London.
This event is open to all and will be free for members of the Roehampton and South West London Classical Association Branch. Tickets for the event cost just £3, or
you can take out an annual membership for just £10 at the door.
Saturday 26 October – 4.00, The Old Swan Hotel Harrogate, Harrogate History Festival. In conversation with Manda Scott
Saturday 2 November – 5.00 Heffers History Festival, the Law Faculty, Sidgwick Site, University of Cambridge. Joint event with Simon Scarrow: Hard Heads, Hard Helmets
Tuesday 12-Wednesday 13 November – Barcelona

Please note: books are usually available for sale at events and I will happily sign new ones. Due to encroaching painful arthritis, particularly in my right hand, I have to limit signing of old editions so please be considerate about this. It is also polite to remember that our hosts at the venue are doing this in order to sell new stock.
