A vision in orange: Sophia Bush matches her frock and manicure to her Hermès Birkin bag as she embraces the sunshine during lunch outing

By Juliet Paylor

Sophia Bush was a vision in orange as she stepped out in sunny West Hollywood on Monday for lunch at Gracias Madre.

The actress was dressed in a pretty and decidedly summery frock as she made the most of the warm weather, colour-coordinating her clothing to her designer handbag.

The 31-year-old, who has a new hit TV show, Chicago PD, under her belt, is clearly doing well for herself these days, judging by the huge orange Hermès Birkin bag she toted proudly in the crook
of her right arm.

With the highly sought-after celebrity-favoured bag retailing for upwards of $20,000 it's the equivalent of a house deposit for many.

Proving she's still down-to-earth, the star teamed her expensive purchase with a simple patterned Hawaiian-style dress featuring an asymmetric midi-length hemline, spaghetti straps and buttons
down the front.

She completed her ensemble with floral patterned canvas shoes, accessorising with several layered silver necklaces and bracelets, while she even matched her manicure to her outfit, having opted for an orange shade of polish.

Natural beauty: The 31-year-old didn't need any help in the make-up department, her flawless complexion apparent to all, her eyes shielded behind round dark shades, her face framed by her long chestnut tresses

The stunning actress appeared to be wearing little to no make-up on her flawless complexion, while she shielded her eyes from the glare of the sun with round dark sunglasses.

She wore her long chestnut locks down in a sleek style, with a sideswept fringe and heavy side part.

Sophia was no doubt in the mood to celebrate after experiencing a close call last week when her boyfriend, Dan Fredinburg, was caught up in the devastating Mt Everest avalanche that claimed
as many as 12 lives.

The Google program manager has spent the past month hiking the world's highest peak and his
daily tweets appeared to cease between last Thursday and Monday morning, with the avalanche
hitting on Friday.

'For all concerned, @danfredinburg & team are safe at Camp 1 on #Everest after the avalanche,'
the relieved actress updated fans on Friday, adding: 'Please keep the Sherpa's in your prayers (sic).'

On Monday evening, Dan mentioned the situation for the first time as he posted: 'Day 29: To those brave souls who went into the icefall this day #thankyou #April18.'

The couple went public with their relationship in April last year, with Sophia gushing of her beau that he is 'the spark to my match'.

Sooo many fashionistas on here. Who cares about the bloody bag? Seriously get a life...she looks pretty, and natural.

It looks like a 40cm Birkin which is really too big for her, unless she uses it for plane travel/luggage. She really needs a 30cm or 35cm for everyday use. She probably just bought what was offered to her. Too bad.

Does she realize that the huge bag makes her look short and silly?

Anyone who pays $20,000 for a bag is nuts - especially an orange bag.

I'm sorry but that Birkin bag is so ugly. I can't believe all the celebs who are obsessed with it and pay thousands of dollars for them. It's so cliche.

Yes. Nothing like spending tens of thousands to announce to the world you are a sheep.
