Ain't That Peculiar! Rita Ora channels the bad fashion of The Jackson 5 in a striped jumper and red PVC wide-legged trousers
They had some great hits, but the Jackson Five won’t go down in history for their fashionable wardrobes.
So it’s no wonder Rita Ora’s take on the seventies style didn’t translate too well forty years later.
Ora stepped out in New York wearing a multi-coloured striped jumper with some rather questionable-looking red PVC wide-legged trousers.
Don't want those trousers back! Rita Ora fails to impress in red leather wide-legged bottoms
Certainly the material looked more plastic than leather and not even a chunky gold necklace or cool rectangular shades could distract from the ugly bottoms.
But Rita is known for pushing the boundaries of fashion, and doesn’t seem to mind if she makes a style hit or miss.
The singer is currently in New York to promote her new single ‘I Will Never Let You Down’ which was released across the US on Tuesday.
Coordinated: Rita wore a striped jumper with a purple clutch bag and gold chain with the plastic-looking bottoms
On her way: The singer was spotted leaving her New York hotel
Not their best looks: The Jackson 5 were known for their outlandish outfits complete with garish patterns and flared trousers
On Tuesday night she will be appearing on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, and it seems she’ll be giving an arty performance.
Rita shared a picture to her Instagram feed which showed her wearing a white dress and standing on a canvas with pots of paints surrounding her.
‘I have a surprise for #Fallon make sure you tune in and everybody take a picture of your tv and #RitaIWNLYD so I can see all your pictures!! #excitedbots (sic)’, Ora wrote.
Nice shades: Ora wore rectangular sunglasses with a red lipstick

Big night: Rita will be appearing on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon
The singer collaborated with her boyfriend Calvin Harris on her new single, and she says she finds him sexiest when in the studio.
‘I thought he was even more sexy when I actually saw him working in the studio,’ she told The Sun.
‘We’d had this pact that we’d never work together for fear it could cause problems but quite the opposite.
She added: ‘I’d look at him there, so in control of everything, so creative, and just yelled, “Please turn the air-con on to make it cooler in here, as I’m seriously hot!”’

Please don't mention someone as iconic as the Jackson 5 in the same sentence as this Rihanna/Gwen Stefani clone. Thank you.
