Don't lose hope! Return of Lost is likely says executive producer Carlton Cuse, following 10th anniversary event

By Alexa Rae Johnson

The finale may not have been the true end of ABC's hit show, Lost.

10 years after the series originally began, Lost showrunner Carlton Cuse has finally opened up about the potential future of the epic programme.

The executive producer recently made comments to Entertainment Weekly about the show's possible return. In Cuse's interview he says: 'I think it’s likely that at some point, ABC will want to reboot Lost'.

Cuse's strong suggestion that the series will be picked back up comes only a few weeks after the show's 10th anniversary event, attended by the majority of the cast.

The stars in attendance at the event were Josh Holloway (Sawyer), Jorge Garcia (Hurley), Yunjin Kim (Sun), Ian Somerhalder (Boone), Maggie Grace (Shannon), Henry Ian Cusick (Desmond) and Malcolm David Kelley (Walt).

Missing from the reunion, however, were several of the show's major characters including Matthew Fox (Jack), Evangeline Lilly (Kate) and Terry O'Quinn (Locke).

For now it is unclear whether any of the original characters would be back for the potential reboot.

However, Cuse adds: 'there will be some young, bright writer or writers who will come up with a great idea that the network responds to, and that’ll be great', in regards to his prediction for the show.

His confidence about the impending return of Lost could be a glimpse into insider knowledge about something already in the works. Fans of the show will now have to eagerly await more news about what lies ahead for the hit series.

Please let this be true! I'm not a massive tv fan and don't get hooked on shows easily, but I loved this show so much I cried when watching the last episode. Of course the cast was epic, we need all the originals back and let's go back to the island.

I thought it was fantastic!! Me and the wife bought the whole series on DVD and seven nights per week for about 3 months we sat down at 9pm with lollies, snacks and drinks and escaped reality for an hour or two! Harmless bit of fun it was, we loved it we did!!

A reboot does not have to be as it was, it could be the parellel story of darma and the why they were there, this could include intwined stories of the original cast when young and on island. This would explain the smoke monster, numbers, jake and all the other unexplained things. That would be worth doing.

Isn't Matthew Fox the guy that beat up a female bus driver during a drunken rage?
