The Eels' new-season "revival" is officially over. They got belted at Allianz Stadium tonight. The Roosters, up 16-4 at halftime, piled on seven unanswered tries to record their biggest ever win over the Eels.
Anthony Minichiello scored his first hat-trick of four-pointers in the NRL but it was Mitchell Pearce who called the shots. The NSW No.7 was on fire with his passing and running game.
Throughout the night, forwards Cordner and Aubusson bulldozed the Eels ruck, allowing fast men Tupou and Jennings to run riot out wide.
Parramatta were shocking. They had nothing in the second half and coach Brad Arthur will have his work cut out this week steeling their centre-field defence.
The Roosters are back, and next week's opponents, the Broncos, should be very afraid.
Roosters 56 Eels 4
76th minute:
A real power try. Aubusson wriggled and wormed his way through three Eels defenders to score. More determined tackling would have stopped him. Maloney converts.

Please stop the updates @TheParraEels the refs should invoke the mercy rule. Players haven't comeback from HT still in sheds #NRLSydPar

69th min:
More razzle-dazzle from the tri-colours. Fantastic short ball from Waerea-Hargreaves put Minichielo into a hole and the Roosters veteran weaved and stepped for a good 40m. Lovely stuff.
Roosters 50 Eels 4
66th minute:
Cordner gets his revenge one minute later, crashing onto a bullet of a pass from Pearce and cantering over for a touchdown. Maloney converts.
Roosters 50 Eels 4
65th minute:
Close. With a couple of Eels hanging off him, Boyd Cordner barged over despite a sterling effort from Will Hopoate. But the vid ref overturned the ref's decision. No try.
Roosters 44 Eels 4
61st minute:
Shaun Kenny-Dowall burst onto a floating pass from Pearce, stepped inside the defence and passed to Minichiello, who scored under the posts. Third try for Mini. Maloney converts.
Roosters 44 Eels 4
58th min:
Mitchell Pearce, like that other famously moustachio'd Mitchell, Mitch Johnson, has become heaps more aggressive and threatening since he started sporting lip fuzz.
Let's hope other NRL players follow him.
Roosters 38 Eels 4
55th min:
Daniel Tupou has the hands of a concert pianist. He picked up a crappy pass he had not right to get close to and dived over in the corner. Maloney converts. That's four tries in 15 minutes.
Roosters 38 Eels 4
53rd min:
It must be hard for old pros like Tim Mannah to see the Eels capitulating like this.
Roosters 32 Eels 4
49th minute:
A Mortimer short ball to Pearce sent the Blues No.7 away and neat chain passing ended in Tuivasa-Sheck plunging over in the corner. Too easy. The Parra defence is porous. Maloney misses the conversion. This is a massacre.
Roosters 32 Eels 4
46th minute:
The floodgates open. Aubusson latches onto a nifty Pearce pass and hits the hole at pace. Not a hand laid on him. Maloney converts. Eels look shot.
Roosters 28 Eels 4
44th min:
Tuivasa-Sheck danced down the left side, using that massive left-hand fend to great effect, and striding through for the four-pointer. Eels defence a bit soft. Maloney converts.
Roosters 22 Eels 4
41st min:
Roosters immediately make big metres after receiving the ball from the kick-off. Moa like a bulldozer.
Roosters 16 Eels 4
40 min: Parra almost go in for their second on the stroke of half-time but Radrada is unable to hang on to the last pass with the defence converging. What a try that would have been. The Eels will be nothing if not entertaining this season.
39 min: Great defence by the Eels with half-time approaching to stay only 12 behind the Roosters.
Semi Radrada has been a revelation so far this season. 4 tries in 110 minutes this season.

33 min: The Eels are on the board, Semi Radrada beating his opposing winger, Roger Tuivasa-Scheck, to a clever Corey Norman kick and score. Norman fails to convert. ROOSTERS 16-4
29 min: Kane Evans, in his long-awaited NRL debut, takes his first hit-up. Big lump of a lad.
21 min: Minichiello crosses for his second, after a well-constructed set play. Maloney's kick is off target. ROOSTERS 16-0.
Seriously, What do you have to do to get sent off in the NRL. Will Lussick get more than SBW & Fifita?
— Brad Walter (@BradWalterSMH) March 15, 2014
17 min: Much better set in attack by the Eels but the Roosters' defence was equally good.
11 min: The premiers extend their lead as Jared Waerea-Hargreaves puts his front-row partner Sam Moa over. Maloney adds the extras. Great start by the home side. ROOSTERS 12-0.
7 min: After absorbing the early pressure, the Roosters strike first as Mitchell Pearce and Mitchell Aubusson combine to send Anthony Minichiello in. James Maloney converts. ROOSTERS 6-0
4 min: Roosters hold on and are now working their way out of their half.
2 min: It's all Parramatta early on as Daniel Tupou is forced into the in-goal after taking a Luke Kelly bomb.
1 min: Parra get a penalty for offside and Hayne tries to take a quick tap but is called back. When will players learn they can't take a quick tap from an offside penalty!
1 min: Roosters kick off.
Good evening as we wrap up Super Saturday with the clash between the defending premiers the Roosters and the much-improved Parramatta Eels.
