"The Sublime and the Beautiful," a feature film shot in and around The University of Kansas and drawing from the talents of the university's students and alumni, will screen this spring at a series of film festivals throughout the country.
FAMILY GAMES - Marble Day, featuring marble games, old-fashioned outdoor games, bike rodeo, tractor cruise and wacky parade, invention contest, Running of the Pinkys and marble tournament, will be from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Using oils, acrylics and pastels, Kathleen Cobb's works are representational and realistic and mostly feature landscapes, barns and rural scenery. Her color palette is taken from the sky and land.
CNN ANALYST - Jeffrey Toobin, senior legal analyst for CNN and author of six books, will present "The Supreme Court in the Age of Obama" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at the Hall Center for Humanities at The University of Kansas in Lawrence. Free.
