Even the most glamorous of stars need to run basic errands, such a grocery shopping.

And Denise Richards proved she's no different as she took a trip to her local Gelson's supermarket in Los Feliz on Wednesday with eldest daughters Sam and Lola.

The trio shopped till they dropped at the high-end store, emerging with a trolley full to overflowing with delicious delicacies, while Lola carefully carried a big yellow and white box of bakery treats from Viktor Benes.

With Sam's left arm in a cast following a recent injury, she wasn't able to do any heavy lifting, though she did rather deftly steer the shopping cart to their car despite appearing not to be able to see over the piles of brown paper bags.

The actress was looking slender as ever dressed in a flowy black maxi-dress, which she teamed with a denim jacket and gold strappy flat sandals.

Her long platinum tresses were worn loose in a straight style tumbling down around her shoulders, while she appeared to be make-up-free, her flawless complexion a healthy golden colour.

The 43-year-old donned large dark sunglasses over her eyes and carried a small black clutch, with her keys at the ready in her hand.

Blonde-haired Lola, who turns nine on June 1, looked sweet and girly in her pink ensemble.

She paired black leggings with bubblegum high-top sneakers, a neon pink T-shirt and a light pink hooded sweater featuring a a bulldog print.

Her long locks were pulled back from her face in a low ponytail with a defined centre part.

The youngster kept hold of her doting mom's hand as they made their way through the car park once their groceries had been safely loaded into the vehicle, with big sister Sam following closely behind.

Not joining the trio on their shopping excursion was daughter Eloise, who turns three next month.

The sweet toddler did, however, enjoy a solo outing with her mom the previous day as the pair ran errands following preschool.
