Nikki Reed can't wipe the smile from her face as she enjoys outing with her mom amid rumours she's moving on from marriage split with hunky Derek Hough

She may have recently called time on her marriage to musician Paul McDonald, but with a reported new romance on the cards, Nikki Reed couldn't contain her happiness as she stepped out for a spot of shopping with her mom on Wednesday.

The Twilight star was grinning from ear to ear and even happily waved to onlookers during her outing in sunny Los Angeles - and it's not surprising, follow rumours she's dating best friend Julianne Hough's hunky brother, dancer and choreographer Derek Hough.

The 25-year-old looked stylish if a little overdressed as she headed out in her fashionable attire on the warm spring day.

She paraded her slim pins in skinny grey jeans and a flowy black cropped top that exposed the tiniest hint of her toned stomach, paired with black leather ankle boots and a knee-length black coat.

She carried a black suede handbag featuring a brown, beige and black snakeskin embellishment on either end on a long leather and silver chain strap.

Her face was only very minimally made up, allowing her natural beauty to shine through, with a fresh, dewy golden base and soft pink lips, her eyes shielded behind large tortoiseshell sunglasses.

Her mom, Cheryl Houston, couldn't have taken a more vastly different approach to her fashionable daughter, dressing down for the outing in workout gear.

The slender brunette opted for three-quarter navy blue leggings with neon pink detail that matched her incredibly bright singlet top.

On Saturday night, the pair were spotted enjoying a cosy double date with Julianne and her boyfriend Brooks Laich at Sayers Club in Hollywood as they celebrated fellow DWTS dancer Cheryl Burke's birthday.
