Too Chewy for you? Grumpy Harrison Ford eats chocolates with Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill on Star Wars set in rare photos

By Iona Kirby

Carrie Fisher has shared black and white snapshots from her photo album that document her days working on the Star Wars movies.

The photos show the actress in her younger years goofing around with co-stars Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill on set of what looks like The Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi.

One particularly amusing image shows the trio tucking into a box of chocolate.

Harrison, now 71, who played Han Solo in episodes IV, V and VI of the franchise - which were released in 1977, 1980 and 1983 - looks displeased as he sticks his finger into what appears to be a truffle.

Meanwhile Carrie, now 57, and Mark, 62, can’t help but laugh at his disdain as they grab some treats for themselves.

Another photo shows Carrie, who portrayed Princess Leia, shaving Mark, who played her brother Luke Skywalker.

They are also seen dancing the tango, as Carrie dips Mark low in the rare photos.

A final snap is of Carrie, spreading her arms to show off her elaborately embroidered robe, which looks like the Bespin gown her character wears during The Empire Strikes Back.

Underneath the garment Carrie is sporting her regular clothes in the form of a tank top tucked into high-waisted trousers.

The pictures have been put up for auction by Carrie’s mother Debbie Reynolds, and the bidding will take place on May 16 and May 17, and are listed with a starting price of ‘$200-300’.

It was recently announced that Carrie, Harrison and Mark will all be reprising the roles that saw them catapulted to fame in the seventh episode, due to be set 30 years after the end of Return Of The Jedi.

And Debbie told Extra’s Mario Lopez on Thursday that Carrie has shed 40lbs in preparation for the movie.

'She’s been on a diet ever since [she was cast in the film], because you know they have to be up to par, so she looks terrific,' Debbie revealed. 'She's very excited, as we all are, because we all love Star Wars.'

'She’s very excited about [Star Wars],' said the iconic actress, who starred in such blockbusters as the 1952 musical Singin' In The Rain.

Carrie has said, 'I'm glad they are doing a new movie because they are sending a trainer to my house so I can get in really good shape.'

Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega and Domhnall Gleeson have also been cast in the as yet untitled Episode VII, which is filming at Pinewood Studios in London and due out December 2015.

I sure hope they do their characters justice in the new film. To the generation that grew up with Star Wars they were magical. Oh, how I loved Luke Skywalker! Don't know what they are going to do with these 3 now that are on in years and not all have aged so well.

I really hope this doesn't turn out to be a hash job. The first 3 films are among my favourites..timeless and special. Harrison may be in his seventies now but he's still worth it. Here's to these new film being a success.

You should have found parents who didn't want to see the movies but whose children did, so you could have been getting paid to watch the film.

I would be happy to see Disney reboot the prequels while they are at it, they were utter tripe both visually and in storytelling terms.
