Minka Kelly’s show Almost Human was recently cancelled after just one series.

Despite the unfortunate news, the 33-year-old actress put on a brave face as she stepped out in Los Angeles on Friday.

The beautiful brunette kept it low-key and casual in a soft green maxi-skirt teamed with a loose-fitted white tank top, as she strode along in flip flops.

She shouldered a large plain orangey-brown bag, while shielding her eyes in aviator shades.

Kelly accessorised with a classic silver watch and a tiny pendant around her neck and wore her thick lustrous brown hair long and loose over her shoulders.

Unfortunately for the actress, Deadline reported last month that Fox opted not to pick up her show Almost Human for a second series.

The science fiction and crime drama executive produced by JJ Abrams takes place in 2048, when human police and androids join forces after a spike in crime rates.

'I was excited about playing such a strong, smart woman,' Minka told the New York Post last November, about her policewoman alter ego Valerie Stahl. 'Previously I’ve played really broken characters and it was just fun to play someone so strong.'

The show got off to a sluggish start last November and apparently never caught fire during its 13 episode run.

Nevertheless, Kelly can next be seen in the 2014 drama, The World Made Straight, alongside Haley Joel Osment.

The film tells the story of a rebellious young man living in a rural Appalachian community haunted by an American Civil War massacre.

That's too bad. I liked the show and most of the actors. Fox showed the episodes out of order for some reason and that didn't help.
