  What is Bod Squad group personal training?

BOD SQUAD GPT closes the gap between being a gym member (feeling like just a number) and one on one personal training which, although effective, can be expensive.

When you train with BOD SQUAD you will be part of a small group with similar fitness levels and goals. The groups are small enough to ensure personalised attention - your personal trainer will know your name, strengths, goals and any injuries or weaknesses you may have.

What happens at a typical session?

In a word? FUN! However, since every workout with Bod Squad is intentionally different to alleviate boredom and to give you maximum results in minimum time, it's difficult to describe a "typical session". You can expect some boxing, kicking, running, resistance training, high intensity interval training, obstacle courses, games and challenges. Unlike an aerobics class, there are no complicated moves and routines to learn. Check out the video above to see a class in action.

What if I'm not very physically fit?

Because the classes are usually set in a circuit type style, every exercise can be performed at your own level. Regulars can go as hard as they like and beginners can pace themselves and work on improving each week. At Bod Squad the class is specifically designed so that no-one ever feels like they are leaving others behind or holding others back. It is perfect for men and women of all abilities and ages.

What if I cannot make my session?

You can make up your missed class at another class on the timetable. As long as it is within your current term and you let your trainer know.

How is Bod Squad different to the local gym?

If the thought of plodding away on a treadmill like a mouse in a cage seems a little boring to you, then you have to try Bod Squad. We run up and down hills, over playground equipment, push-ups on log fences and make friends in the process. And you won't encounter the usual over crowding and intimidation of a gym. Bod Squad and your local gym are as different as chalk and cheese.

I've heard bootcamps are scary and painfull?

What you should NOT expect with BOD SQUAD is some ex-drill army sargeant screaming at you and making you feel inferior because you do not necessarily keep up with their level of fitness. You will be challenged to push your limits in a fun and encouraging way.

Can I pay per workout or just when I come?

No. The fact of the matter is that you need and want to exercise consistently right? We've found that the 2nd best motivator is knowing that you have paid for and commited to a term. The best motivator of course is getting results and having so much FUN doing it.

Will I be sore sometimes?

Most people feel some soreness especially after their first class. However it's part of the process that lets you know you are improving. There is a difference between good sore and being injured and we will teach you how to know the difference.

What types of people go to Bod Squad?

Normal everyday people just like you. People who want to get fit, tone up and have fun without all the BS. After all, All the gym junkies are at the gym.

What do I need to bring?

Just bring yourself, dressed and ready for a workout, an old towel or yoga type mat, a drink bottle of water and cotton gloves to go under boxing gloves (hygeine reasons) or $3 to purchase some.

What happens if it rains?

Rain cover is provided for all Bod Squad sessions with the exception of Monday 6.30pm HIIT class. (which is a pay as you go class anyway)
