VICE, by Thomas Morton, May 4, 2014: “How Fucked Are Nukes? [...] way worse than Hollywood has the special effects to depict. A lot of mainstream accounts [...] soft-pedal the body horror that acute radiation poisoning causes [...] eyewitness testimony from Robert Jay Lifton’s Hiroshima classic Death in Life: [...] “at a glance you couldn’t tell whether you were looking at them from in front or in back [...] very young girls, not only with their clothes torn off but with their skin peeled off as well. My immediate thought was that this was like the hell I had always read about.” [...] If you haven’t already gone to the bathroom to slit your wrists [...] VICE on HBO covers the second major population intentionally exposed to atomic radiation—the Kazakhs living around the Semipalatinsk Testing Polygon, where the Soviet Union tested 456 nuclear bombs.

Debrief: Genetic Passport (VICE on HBO)

While they weren’t close enough to the blasts to experience the sort of immediate deformities [suffered by the Japanese --] It deformed their genes. Sorry it’s a bit of a bummer.”

Pictures are more powerful than words. Sick, sick, sick, sick…No more ignorance can be allowed. It's obvious to a fourth grader the effects of these radio-nudlides especially when officials say it's "safe" when no numbers are given. Is this the type of child we want introduced to this world because of a bureaucracy and the nuclear cartel it protects? :-( Are many diseases from even lower amounts of man-made radio-nuclides? (Rhetorical question.) Entire populations have to say no more at this point. Props to VICE. Now, go to Japan and sneak info and pics out. You went in the beginning, but knowing what VICE knows now…go to Fuku prefecture and follow the hot spots.

Have no first-hand info but have heard many stories that in Japan, they just "dispose of" deformed babies, then they doctor the stats to read as miscarriages or still-borns. And abortions have apparently become common, since any mother can see much on a sonogram. I guess when their birth rate plummets to zero, we'll know why.

"As Japan News reports, the decline in Japan's population set another record in 2012 with the number of deaths exceeding births for the sixth year in a row. Records were broken everywhere. The number of babies born in the nation in 2012 fell by 13,705 from the previous year to hit a new low of 1,037,101 and while a total fertility rate of 2.0 children per woman will maintain the population at a stable level. Japan’s rate has continued to fall since dropping below 2.0 in 1975. Meanwhile, the number of deaths in 2012 hit a record high of 1,256,254, increasing by 3,188 from the previous year. The greying of Japan continues and worse still, the young, for many reasons, are not having children as the number of women in their 20s who had a child in 2012 decreased by 16,200."

Could be similar to what Fukushima residents will face from the Japanese medical community? Note that the author mentions the way the problem was handled in the Polygon population, Russia ignored the 450+ nuclear blast damages, silence, public not evacuated. And seems very okay with having 'genetic passports.' He is the first person who should be sterilized, if he thinks this is simple!

But its not just Russia, look at the populations in Australia outback and in the Marshall Islands who all had exposure to nuclear tests with terrible results. They were not evacuated..by the UK or the USA. So its there..this lack of concern to damages by the hidden killer, radiation.

            Because "where there's blame there's a claim".
If you mess yourself up on tobacco, etc, you are clearly at fault and we can ignore the fact that Government has allowed this filth to be sold and profited from, despite our having known for decades what it does, because "no forced you to take up smoking".
Radiation on the other hand, no one chose to be exposed to and that's a recipe for massive damages being awarded.

            • Fall out man!

There is even a nuclear connection with smoking (as has been reported in the comments section on Enenews at least a couple of times in the past). Tobacco is very good at passing on trace elements from Phosphate fertiliser. Including radioactive contamination. Supposedly, that application of slightly radioactive fertiliser ends up being a big deal when the tobacco is smoked. Hence the lung cancer and heart disease and increased chance of birth defects. So even there, it comes back to rad contamination.

          • My first protest was an ant-war rally in 2002. George Bush was visiting Phoenix and thousands protested his arrival and desire for more war. I made posters with pictures of Depleted Uranium victims and everyone called me a raging right-to-lifer, which I guess I am because I believe the living on this planet have a right to life (though I support abortion rights). People were grossed out, avoiding me because no one wanted to talk about DU, which is far bigger than George W, Bush. It was an interesting experience.

Thinking back on that, I just had another idea for underground activists. There are lots of photos of Chernobyl victims. Print these pictures from the HBO special and other sources on the internet and put copies in newspapers (50 cents gets you access to every paper in the newspaper box). Print them on sticker paper and plaster them everywhere so people are forced to deal with this reality. Put these photos in doctors' offices inside magazines. Plaster them around college campuses. Hang them in your local coffee shop. Put the stickers on the doors of public restrooms. It is time we force people to open their eyes. It is our only hope.

I did all of these things to try to stop the wars and spread the truth about 9-11. I do not know how successful my campaign was, but at least I was trying to make a difference. Maybe this idea will inspire others to find creative ways of sharing the truth about Fukushima.

And just think…the radiation released from nuclear tests is the same radiation released from nuclear power plant meltdowns.

In his book “Cover Up,” Karl Grossman said:

“…with an accident at a nuclear plant, there is a potential for release of a gargantuan amount of radioactivity—more radioactivity than has ever been unleashed on earth. That is because a nuclear plant has many times more radioactive material contained in it than a nuclear weapon, typically 200,000 to 300,000 pounds of enriched uranium going through fission far longer than a weapon, thus producing vastly more radioactive poisons.”

By living in Colorado, flying a lot, having granite countertops, working in the nuclear industry, eating a lot of potato chips and bananas, just the usual stuff. But I knew of some nuke techs that actually put uranium under their beds. They died of old age, but like LNT, it’s impossible to see any effects at low doses, either way, which is why you should worry about it until it gets over 5 rem/year, and why radworkers don’t worry about it until then, since that’s the ordinary working limit.

    • But the true believers of hormesis should certainly want a more reliable and consistent increase in radiation, rather than a random factor of how much time they spend hovering over their granite countertop

So what I want to know is, how do they take additional internal radiation, that would be the smart way to get a consistent dose of the “health forming” response of hormesis. No one has answered the question. I have posted it at least 50 times in pro-nuker forums, and not a single answer “yes, this is what I DO” to get more radiation.

      Report comment

      • There should be a special program set up by the government to address the need that these hormesis lovers have to get more radiation into themselves.

Maybe offer them free xrays every day?

Maybe they can bathe for free in the spent fuel pool at their nearest nuclear plant, and dive down to touch the spent fuel at least once a day?

Maybe they can volunteer at Fukushima for a year or two, or maybe longer?

"Are Telomeres The Key To Aging And Cancer?"

"Yet, each time a cell divides, the telomeres get shorter. When they get too short, the cell can no longer divide; it becomes inactive or "senescent" or it dies. This shortening process is associated with aging, cancer, and a higher risk of death. So telomeres also have been compared with a bomb fuse…."Without telomeres, chromosome ends could fuse together and corrupt the cell's genetic blueprint, possibly causing malfunction, cancer, or cell death. Because broken DNA is dangerous, a cell has the ability to sense and repair chromosome damage. Without telomeres, the ends of chromosomes would look like broken DNA, and the cell would try to fix something that wasn't broken. That also would make them stop dividing and eventually die."

Kadim explained that the ministry's authority is cautiously entering the three areas where radioactive material was discovered and is taking strict procedures to remove it. The village witnessed one of the fiercest battles between the former Iraqi army and the US-led coalition forces in 2003. "Unfortunately, we have discovered it late, after a number of the village's residents have been diagnosed with various diseases," Kadim said.

    For THIS:
"We have often said that the reason why thousands of Iraqi soldiers went missing is that their bodies burnt as a result of uranium-saturated bombs. But the country's new leaders, who were empowered by the US, were not willing to bother the Americans," Mahmoud added.

It sure is its full out lying, drive the planet, poison the people lie some more, eat some radio-active caviar till the wheels fall off.
so very sad. and then it makes me mad.

Then i want to continue to keep my eye on them daily. Hope the information somehow gets into the Ethernet and the truth is revealed. The extensive lies of the Nuclear Industry and their ancillary hence corps and agents,

Its good to think more people know the truth than don't. good to think that but experience with those around me doesn't prove this the case. But we live in a bubble. Would like to think globally the jig is up. The information wars are very intense and will continue to be. They double down on lies and euphemisms.

The idea of "genetic passports" is absolutely abhorrent. Who is not exposed? The logistics of such a thing are social mechanisms nobody should want for obvious reasons.

More denials relating radiation to birth defects today on NBC News: http://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/mysterious-birth-defects-no-answers-only-questions-experts-say-n104911

So the 23-year-old farmworker from Yakima, Washington, had questions Tuesday night for the health officials, scientists and other experts gathered to discuss the cause of an alarming local spike in the disorder that leaves babies missing parts of the skull or brain.

Others wanted to know exactly how long the problem had been going on, whether it could be linked to diet, occupation, geography — or the Hanford nuclear plant in nearby Richland.

State officials reiterated their previous answers — no, no, no and no — and said they planned to come up with new ideas for investigation at meetings that are set to begin in mid-June and continue throughout the summer.

Plan to come up with new ideas?

    Hi there newsers.
Thought I'd researched the topic and knew most of the worst however
I've found something that has previously escaped my attention.

Noting the above texts I see you're all aware of the DU and
Chernobyl babies and such much as I have been for decades but today I stumbled onto a new one.

Not to spoil the surprise for any or all but try searching on
the keywords "compaction" and "plutonium" as it applies to the new liquid sodium fast breeder reactors that are in our future should things remain on their current course.

Oh and yes Japan has one, has had a major accident already and it is planned yet to be brought back online.

    Ouch.
Remember the relatively cheap uranium is already gone and current nuclear plants not financially practical.

Woe to the nations that harm people, young and old, so readily- in order that the corporations, that have been allowed to corrupt the governments, may have their way in whatever their area of life-limiting expertise is. And, woe to the small people that gladly accept their blood money payments that allows them to continue with the anti-life behavior.

    Obewanspeaks;

    Teased enough.
Compaction as it relates to fast liquid sodium breeder reactors is the
partial meltdown leading directly to a nuclear criticality explosion expelling tons of plutonium.

Even Edward Teller, the father of the H bomb thought it too dangerous.
We've had three test reactors, all failed near catastrophically.

A commercial size unit such as the one soon to be started again in Japan should that fail would make Fukushima look like a firecracker.
Oh and yes that one already failed with hundreds of pounds of liquid sodium expelled.

Nuke Pro points out we almost had massive multi-nuke plant failures at once in 2012. Scores of plants could have melted down -

On an almost daily basis I refer someone to this website who has expressed an interest in something I share regarding the ongoing Fuku contamination and the threat to our food and the entire planet.
Most people are really not aware because they only know about mainstream news sites.
The people that I share this information with a really shocked and want to know more. I always write down this web address and tell them to spend some time reading as many articles as they have time for.
I am a health care provider and it seems that people are grateful for the information, especially when I frame the discussion around how to keep their kids as safe as possible from this.
I also share this information with people who have dogs and cats. They have no idea that they may be feeding radiation to their pets via the fish and fish oils in the pet foods they purchase. They are shocked to learn that there is no testing being done.
When I say to people that we all need to keep the innocent ones, the kids and the pets, as safe as possible people seem receptive.
If the person asks m questions I tell them about the sea animals and the effects of Fuku on them. Everyone seems to love seals and dolphins and whales.
I ask young people if they plan to have kids. I then tell them that if they do, they need to read everything possible about this contamination so that they do not accidentally buy foods that will cause severe harm. Nobody wants a baby to have deformity.
    Regards
