Jessica Alba beats the heat in white lace skirt and matching top as she enjoys family day out with husband and daughters in LA

She has made a career out of motherhood, launching the Honest Company - which sells natural baby products - after becoming a mom herself.

And actress and entrepreneur Jessica Alba turned work into a family day out on Sunday as she brought husband Cash Warren and daughters Honor, five and Haven, two-and-a-half, to an event in Westwood, California.

Jessica, 33, looked every inch the successful businesswoman in a white lace skirt, which fell just below her knees, and a cropped white top with sensible black flats and a matching bag.

She also carried a folder in her hand while holding on to Honor with the other.

A no-nonsense high ponytail, simple make-up and earrings completed her look.

Honor wore a sweet playsuit and had a bow in her hair while she trotted along beside her mother.

Cash was casual in jeans and a striped T-shirt as he walked along behind them with Haven.

Jessica launched The Honest Company in 2012 to deliver eco-friendly baby-care products and household cleaners to families at affordable prices.

She said of the brand: 'I wanted a company that's transparent. I was sick of people saying, '‘This is our green line, it costs a dollar more,'' but it's the same stuff that's in everything else.'

After two children and almost six years of marriage, Jessica has managed to keep the spark going with her husband.

She told Glamour magazine: 'Now [with Cash] there are no more surprises. At around two and a half years, you're kind of like, "Are we in it? Are we doing this?" And the easiest part? That would be snuggling every night.'

The couple met on the set of Fantastic Four in 2005 and got engaged in December, 2007. They will celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary on Monday.

And Jessica was named Mother Of The Year at the Mother’s Day Luncheon And Fashion Show in Beverly Hills earlier this month, showing that combining motherhood and a career can be done.
