Make-up free Claire Danes works up a sweat with vigorous jog as she displays her toned pins in black leggings

She's a fitness buff who hits the concrete on an almost daily basis for a good long run.

And Claire Danes was certain to work up a sweat on Sunday as she was spotted vigorously jogging in New York.

The 35-year-old pushed her 17-month-old son Cyrus along in a pram as she wisely let her skin breathe by going make-up free for the intense cardio session.

She dressed in a comfy ensemble of soft black leggings, white T-shirt and a green zip-up sweatshirt as she pulled her blonde hair into a bun.

Going makeup free for the outing, the star's skin looked flawless but her face showed some strain from the task at hand, as she puffed her way through the heart pounding run.

Her little boy appeared to be dozy on the outing but no doubt enjoyed the views of the park.

The award-winning star will soon be behind the cameras again on Homeland which begins filming it's fourth season this summer.

It has also just been announced that the upcoming season will be shooting this summer in Cape Town, South Africa.

The new season will see Claire's brilliant bipolar CIA agent Carrie Mathison take on an assignment in the Middle East, according to comingsoon.net.

The series usually shoots in Atlanta and on location in such international locals as Morocco and Egypt.

In December Claire opened up with the Daily Mirror about how she and Hugh Dancy, who she shares son Cyrus with, are 'figuring it out' how to manage work and parenthood.

She told the publication: 'I tend to work and then Hugh works.'

The move to South Africa may stretch them further as Hugh has been working recently in Toronto, Canada.
