A star is born! Fergie and Josh Duhamel are upstaged by their adorable and inquisitive son Axl as they return home following family day out

By Juliet Paylor

Eight months into parenthood and Fergie and Josh Duhamel clearly have it down.

The couple effortlessly juggled their infant son Axl along with his bulging bag full of necessary supplies as they made their way home in Brentwood, California from a family day out on Sunday.

The singer displayed her favoured rock chick style in her off-duty attire that highlighted her enviably toned pins as she emerged from the car into the sunshine.

They've got this parenting thing down! Fergie and Josh Duhamel were all about the teamwork as they arrived home in Brentwood on Sunday following a day out, with the doting father and husband helping his wife out of the car and handing her the baby bag before taking charge of their son

The 39-year-old flashed plenty of tanned and toned skin in tiny denim hot pants, paired with a Journey T-shirt and black leather ankle boots featuring gold studded design.

She wore a black and grey plaid shirt tied around her waist, while she also donned a black leather and silver studded fanny pack.

Her long blonde tresses were styled in messy waves that fell down around her shoulders, partially obscuring her face.

Her complexion was only minimally made up with complementary gold hues and nude lips, her eyes shielded behind large dark shades.

While she held onto the stylish black baby bag, which was piled high with nappies, changes of clothes and bottles, her husband took charge of their precious cargo.

Cool as a cucumber: Eight-month-old blond-haired cutie Axl looked quite content to be lifted up over his father's shoulder, taking in the sights and sounds around him with a cheeky look on his face

The 41-year-old helped his wife out of the car and handed her the bag before expertly extracting
the tyke from his car capsule, carefully carrying him into the house without any fuss.

The blond-haired babe absolutely stole the spotlight from his famous parents, looking cute as a button as he inquisitively looked around, taking in the sights and sounds with a cheeky expression
on his face.

He looked adorable in his black cotton pants which featured unidentifiable white writing on his tiny tushy, paired with a white singlet, long-sleeved grey and green top and cute navy blue and white socks designed to look like lace-up sneakers.

His actor father looked hunky as always dressed in navy blue pants, a white T-shirt, black high-top sneakers and with a dark blue baseball cap worn backwards over his brown mane.

A little bit rock'n'roll: The 39-year-old displayed her enviably toned and tanned pins in tiny denim shorts, paired with black leather ankle boots with gold studded detail and a Journey T-shirt, while she had a black and grey plaid shirt tied around her waist as well as a black leather and silver studded fanny pack

The couple are particularly busy of late, with both refocusing on their careers now that their son is
of a suitable age.

Fergie is making a return to her singing career, hitting the studio as she begins work on her second solo album.

Josh, meanwhile, has three new films set for release this year - You're Not You, co-starring Emmy Rossum, Ali Larter and HIlary Swank; Strings, with Laura Dern and Maria Bello; and Lost In The Sun, alongside Lynn Collins.

His new CBS TV series, Battle Creek, has also been given the green light, though it won't hit screens until mid-season.

The crime drama is Vince Gilligan's first offering since his award-winning show Breaking Bad ended, while it sees him team up with House's David Shore.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it: The 41-year-old heartthrob was dressed in his favoured sporty style of blue pants, a white T-shirt and black high-top sneakers paired with a navy blue baseball cap that was worn backwards over his brown mane
