The school year may be coming to a close for Denise Richard's daughters.

And when it comes to finding a new daily activity to bide their holiday time, Richards likes to think outside of the box.

The svelte 43-year-old took her daughters Sam and Lola out for a refreshing day of horse riding at the Equestrian Center in Los Angeles on Saturday, and looked proud while watching her daughters manage the reigns of the horses.

The stunning 43-year-old wore her blonde tresses in loose waves while strolling alongside her daughters.

Richards sported a faded grey-and-black maxi dress to compliment her low-key look.

The statuesque beauty stayed comfortable in a pair of large black boots, and protected her gaze behind over sized sunglasses.

Daughter Sam, 10, outfitted for her athletic day in a pink sweater, beige leggings, and black riding boots.

Her sister Lola, eight, matched Sam's style with black leggings, riding boots, along with a matching helmet.

The siblings appeared to be completely at ease while navigating the reigns behind the powerful creatures.

Richards leisurely ambled behind her daughters, and appeared to be thoroughly engaged in a conversation with a friend.

Denise is currently in the midst of a child support battle with ex-husband Charlie Sheen, 48, over their two daughters Sam and Lola.

RadarOnline reported in March that the actor was planning to take his ex-wife to private mediation as he continues to try to get his $55,000 a month child support payment reduced.

His latest attempt to minimise the payments have allegedly come as a result of his claims that Denise is not allowing him to see his daughters.

Poor Denise. She seems to have given Charlie every chance in the world to co-parent with her in a healthy way. She was in his corner and forgiving of his short-comings. Then he lashes out and freaks out on her, the one person who didn't throw him under the bus.
