But Arnold Schwarzenegger has skipped the pipe and slippers and is instead embracing a second youth, partying the day away in Cannes.

The former California governor appeared to have reverted back to his roots as a young Hollywood single while promoting The Expendables 3 in Cannes on Sunday.

After enjoying a luxurious cigar during a tanning session he later danced the night away with old pal Sylvester Stallone.

The Terminator star enjoyed a luxurious tanning session while indulging in a fine cigar in the midst of his Expendables 3 promotional obligations.

Schwarzenegger wore a smart beige suit, while Stallone added a pop of colour with a violet blazer.

Saw Sly Stallone a few times in a night club years ago that I used to frequent. He's short and plastic looking , with all the cosmetic surgery. He looks better on screen . A very arrogant and stuck up man , who never danced, smile or even talk to anyone at his table. A real bore! These pics are obviously posed for to make him look interesting and fun, which he's not!
