In the name of fashion, Eva Longoria and Salma Hayek got glam on Saturday.

The Desperate Housewives actress hugged her shapely figure in a plunge, strapless mermaid gown similar to others she's been wearing in recent days.

For an elegant touch, the angelic dress was adorned with pearl-like beads and trailed behind.

Since her piece was so busy, Eva sported minimal jewellery including sparkling earrings, a bangle and her red Kabbalah bracelet.

Her hair was also styled down in chic waves, as she wore a dramatic face of make-up and scarlet nail polish.

Meanwhile, Salma, 47, magnetised in a strapless magenta gown that tiered from the tie-waist down as she attended the premiere for the biography detailing the influence of the famous French designer, Yves Saint Laurent.

Her lipstick matched, sporting a pomegranate slick.

Salma and Eva are both beautiful and their dresses are spectacular, so why is the hair not as special as everything else? Enough with the long (sometimes too long) casual hair.
