Many talents: Jessica Simpson appeared on the Today Show on Monday to talk about her projects
And with a fashion empire valued at over a billion dollars, the mogul doesn't really have time anyway.
The businesswoman's most important upcoming project, however, is her wedding to fiance Eric Johnson, rumored to be taking place over the July 4 weekend.
'It’ll definitely be extravagant. I don't do things small,' she said Monday.
The couple, parents to daughter Maxwell, two, and son Ace, 11 months, moved the venue from Capri, Italy, to Santa Barbara, California, according to US Weekly.
Slimmed down: Jessica recently lost 50 pounds by following the Weight Watchers plan
Lots to talk about: Savannah Guthrie chatted with Jessica about her business and personal endeavors
This will be the second marriage for Jessica, who divorced Lachey in 2006.
Eric and Jessica got engaged just five months after they started dating, but that has been nearly four years.
Wedding plans have been delayed due to the birth of their two children.
US also reports that the fashionista is not planning to wear a white dress for her trip down the aisle.
So much on her plate: The busy mogul says she plans to go back to singing at some point
The newly
slim blonde, who lost 50 pounds on Weight Watchers, smiled modestly as
the Today Show interviewer listed off the extensive offerings of the Jessica
Simpson Collection.
'Let's go through the list,' Guthrie said, 'because you are in footwear, sportswear,
jeanswear, maternity, girls, handbags, dresses, eyewear, outerwear,
legwear, jewelry, swimwear, intimates, fragrance, luggage.. did I miss
anyhing?
'We're launching home and we're about to launch baby,' Jessica revealed.
Bride to be: Aside from business, the mom of two talked about her upcoming nuptials
It takes a special kind of person to build a brand the size of hers.
'I just speak my mind and I am who I am and I'm not shy about it,' Jessica said. 'I'm just a determined person.'
But
she doesn't view herself as the typical mogul. 'I don't really feel
like a boss,' she said. 'Maybe I am. I'm sure I am bossy. But I do give
the credit to everybody around me. My team is who I am.'
Great life: The Texan told Today that she 'Couldnt' be happier'
The Weight Watchers spokeswoman also said that her lifelong dieting battles have helped her create success.
'Well, I think that I can relate to every woman out there,' she said. 'I have been every size there is, so I know how to dress every body type.'
She echoed those same thoughts to Steve Forbes at the Forbes Power Women summit in New York City on Thursday, saying she understands women and how to dress them.
‘I know there’s all different kinds. There’s life in the whole world beyond LA and New York. I understand Middle America and their mindset,' she said at that event.
You go girl! At the Forbes Power Women summit, Jessica Simpson, shown with Steve Forbes, discussed how her weight fluctuations have helped her to understood women of all shapes and sizes
That is why she's created clothing that is reasonably priced.
'I truly believe that it's not just about high fashion,” she told the Today Show. 'You know, we all need pieces in our wardrobe that are fashionable but accessible, wearable, you know, and affordable. I think that that's really what has made the brand such a success.'
She's also recently launched a signature fragrance.
Heading down the aisle: The fashionista and her fiance Eric Johnson are set to wed in just over a month
Lean and mean: Jessica recently tweeted this shot of her legs during a workout, saying she was proud of herself for her 50-pound weight loss
She is currently working on new music at home in her studio, though her children aren’t necessarily enjoying her voice so much.
‘I think my voice is too loud to sing a nursery rhyme,’ Jessica has said. ‘My kids kind of look at me like, “Ugh!” Like, I startle them or something.’
Asked what she would tell her old self about the future and how to handle fame, Simpson laughed.
“Hold on! this is going to be a long ride,” she told Today on Monday. "And I couldn't be happier."
